Hello everyone :) trying to come up with an outdoorsy sounding boys name. Our surname is James.

So far we have the following
Lake, Harbor, Finch and North.

Any opinions on those? or other suggestions

Thanks :D

Peregrine

Munro is brilliant

VivaLeBeaver · 21/11/2014 19:38

Jesse James surely?

Amazing combo.

TheWholeOfTheSpoon · 21/11/2014 19:38

Wolife. I've been on an eternal mission to get a MNer to use Wolfie! I LOVE that name! It sounds stupid with our surname though.

RabbitSaysWoof · 21/11/2014 19:40

Reef

squoosh · 21/11/2014 19:44

to be fair I'd imagine Wolfie sounds stupid with anyone's surname.

Red toothbrush I'm also really curious to know what your ds is called.

Loving this name thread, boys names are so hard and this thread is giving lots of good suggestions

I agree with bike. If you're serious about a somewhat unusual outdoorsy name, Munro James is a winner. By a looooooong shot. By a mile. By the height of a munro. Can't be other.

BikeRunSki · 22/11/2014 07:12

By 3000 feet surely moxon?

Hakluyt · 22/11/2014 13:28

Oi! Munro was my idea!!!

moxon · 22/11/2014 13:47

I was too lazy to look up the height, so I just hoped someone else would do the honours... Much obliged! Smile

BikeRunSki · 22/11/2014 13:54

Sorry Hakluyt Blush

Still a great ideav

A

Sorry haklyut. Still an awesome name.

I'm adding ...

Polaris

findingherfeet · 22/11/2014 13:56

River and flint are nice I think

ShadowKat · 22/11/2014 14:59

I think Polaris is more of a girl's name.

BikeRunSki · 22/11/2014 18:33

Neptune

Some brilliant, proper 'outdoorsy' names here - so yes it will be a pity if you do call him Lake or Harbour and end up with a boy who sounds like a self-catering holiday camp rather than a rugged pioneer Grin

Allstoppedup · 22/11/2014 19:30

Gunner?
Flint?

EskiDecaff · 22/11/2014 19:37

A boy at DS nursery is called lake. My DS is Luke. I don't know whether it's my ds name which causes the confusion but little Lake always gets called Luke and his parents spend their lives correcting people

Theonlyoneiknow · 22/11/2014 22:48

Reef
