Honest opinions please!!

Feel free to be totally honest, I need outside perspectives on our top chosen names at the minute!

For a boy, at the minute we're leaning towards the name Harley with Isaac as a middle name.
For a girl we're leaning towards Amber with the middle name Faith.

We have plenty of time to dwell but need to know honest options before I get too attached to them!

Harley is hideous. Common. Amber is not to my taste but inoffensive.

TBH I'm not sure Harley and Isaac work together, though I like both names
Amber Faith is nice, but again like both names

I quite like Amber, and think that Amber Faith works well enough. I think Harley is awful, sorry. It sounds very American to me, which just isn't to my taste.

Isaac is far nicer than Harley imho.

Harley is very modern, American, bit common sounding.

Amber is meh.
Faith is ok.

Thank you for your responses! I dread the thought of giving our baby a 'terrible' name so I appreciate the honesty.

Sorry, I don't like Harley or Amber Faith. How about Isaac Harley instead?

Yep, Harley is atrocious, sorry.

Amber and Faith are ok, but maybe not together.

Much prefer faith and Isaac to Harley and Amber.

Isaac is a great name.

Isaac was a name we liked but never made it to our list!

Agree I don't like Harley, it's a motorbike make. Um, how about Harvey? Bit better

Don't like Harley either, sorry. I like Isaac, don't mind Amber though I think It's a marmite name usually.

I quite like Faith, although I did know two Sisters named 'Faith' and 'Hope' once which I thought was overkill-needless to say at school their names were altered to 'Hopeless' and 'Faithless' by children and teachers alike (the latter probably wouldn't have got away with it now)!

Harley sounds v v common.

Amber is ok but nothing special, but then my youngest has one of the all time hated names on MN so what do I know.

Love faith. All others are good except Harley.

I don't like Harley either sorry. Like all of the others though.

Don't think Harley works as a grown up name as it sounds juvenile.

There are other boys names that we like but none are 'grabbing' me if you see what I mean. I'm not a fan of very traditional names, neither is my DH but he prefers very unusual names. Harley was a compromise of sorts. Back to the drawing board for boys is a definite I think

How about Piper, Willow, Hope, Blossom, Saffron, Andrew, Peter, Orson, Johnny?

I don't really like Isaac, but I much prefer it to Harley.

I prefer Faith to Amber.

The only Harley I've known was a big, fat, Greek man and it did sort of suit him as he was so flamboyant and extrovert.

I don't like Amber, Isaac, or Harley. Faith is okay. I taught a lovely Amber, but that name alway seems a bit tacky to me? Please don't take that offensively.

How about Autumn, Felicity, or Verity for the girl?

Henry, Ryan, Hugo, Tanner, Harvey for the boy? Agree with PP, don't love Harvey but it is definitely a step up from Harley.

I like Amber Faith. Hate Harley, sorry. Isaac is nice.
