Surname had two syllables and we can't decide between Elizabeth or Grace as a middle name. Thoughts please!

My first thought was Matilda but of the two you have listed id say Elizabeth.

fishfingerSarnies · 03/11/2014 20:02

I was thinking Elizabeth before I opened your thread properly and saw your suggestions.

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 03/11/2014 20:05

Love Matilda too!

QueenofallIsee · 03/11/2014 20:07

I opened this thinking 'Grace' so I would go with that!

Lyla Jayne came to mind although I don't like the name Jayne which is strange.

lila grace is kate moss' daughter.

ParsleyCake · 03/11/2014 20:35

Grace. It flows better.

Leeds2 · 03/11/2014 20:36

Another one who opened thread thinking Grace!

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 03/11/2014 20:45

Not a fan of Moss but hopefully Lyra is a little bit different from Lila and her daughter must be a teenager now?

Love that people are coming onto the thread with my choices in their head already.

Silver tongue ? Wink
I think Grace is lovely, in fact I think a lot of one syllable names would go - Faye, Paige, Faith etc

BlueStarsAtNight · 03/11/2014 20:50

I don't like it when first name ends in a vowel and mn starts in a vowel, so if say Grace as it flows better.

daniellalou22 · 03/11/2014 20:55

Was my dd1 not Layla, Lyra would be on my list for baby number 2. The middle names we considered for Lyra (when naming dd1) were Grace, Celeste, Jade.

CPtart · 03/11/2014 20:57

Grace flows much better although I prefer the name Elizabeth.

Lyra Faye, Lyra Catherine also nice.

HattyMonkey · 03/11/2014 21:03

First thoughts before opening were Grace or Elizabeth both my dd's middle names so cannot choose between. How about

Faith
Rose
Hope
Jane

HattyMonkey · 03/11/2014 21:05

Cpart love Lyra Catherine

CharlesRyder · 03/11/2014 21:10

I don't think Elizabeth goes- it feels like a mouthful. Lyra Grace is better but it still feels like there is a full stop in it when you say it. Lyra.Grace

I like Lyra Lucille. No full stop.

RockinHippy · 03/11/2014 21:14

Lyra Elizabeth has a lovely ring to it,

Fletcherl · 03/11/2014 21:14

Louise
Lulu
Eloisa

CharlesRyder · 03/11/2014 21:24

I like Lyra Louise too.

Lyra-Lou would be a cute nn.

BooDidIScareYou · 03/11/2014 21:25

I want to say Lyra Belacqua as that's the first time I ever heard Lyra but I realise that's not very helpful! Out of your two I prefer Grace I think
