Please help me decide on dd3's name...she is 9 days old!

Hi

Dd3 was born on 1st Aug and she is still nameless. It's getting to the point now where it's starting to stress me out, especially when i have people calling daily to see if she has a name yet!

Dd1 is Libby, dd2 is Poppy.

My short list was Tess, Gabriella and Sophia. Middle name is going to be Ivy (grandmother's name).

I don't mind the nn Gabby, but can't stand Gab or Gabs which it will likely get shortened to by some people, which i suppose rules Gabriella out. I am also aware if the popularity of Sophia but do not know any with that name where i live or in dd's nursery/school, so i am still seriously considering it. Everyone pulls their face at Tess, which i know i shouldn't let influence me but it is doing.

I also love Pearl but surname begins with L so it just doesn't flow right, it sounds like she is called Pear when you say the full name.

My mum is pushing me to call dd Ivy, but i just can't see her as an Ivy.

I am very indecisive with names, it took me over a week to chose dd1's and 3 weeks to chose for dd2!!

I like Tabitha, Florence and Alice too.

I am scouring baby name websites whilst dd is feeding throughout the night and am now dreaming of them, it's driving me crazy.

I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions of other names i might like. I am setting myself a deadline of 2 days to decide!

Thanks

Tess

I am still a bit gutted my dd is not called this. DH wasn't happy with it as it isn't quite right with our surname. Love it so much.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/08/2014 22:10

We also had to reject Tess for dd1, because it was a disaster with dp's surname.

Gabriella or Sophia

ModerationInEverything · 10/08/2014 22:12

Tess gets my vote, sounds lovely with her sisters name's.

HumblePieMonster · 10/08/2014 22:14

One of my rabbits is 'Tabitha', with Tabby for short. Tabby goes nicely with Libby and Poppy.

"Libby, Poppy and Tabby are coming for tea."

Love Alice, our baby boy would have been an Alice if he had been a girl. Its not overused either and the only Alice I know is my sister in laws flatmate who is awesome, super cool and works in film - this definitely helped my liking of the name! As it is I have a Dylan - always an option for a girl too?

I personally love Tess too and you should ignore other people if you and your partner love it!

My other suggestions would be....
Lila
Lola
Sophie
Betsy
Elsie
Georgia
Hannah
Lucy

CorporateRockWhore · 10/08/2014 22:16

Tess is lovely!

Esther Sophia?

DarkBlueEyes · 10/08/2014 22:16

My youngest is a Tabitha so I'm voting for that option. I just love it and think it works well with your other names. Good luck!

Drunkendonut · 10/08/2014 22:18

My first thought was Daisy.
Libby, poppy and Daisy sound great.
I also love Alice, Freya, and Sophia.
Also my current fantasy DD5 name India.

Springcleanish · 10/08/2014 22:19

I like Alice or Tabitha - let us know your decision :)

fairnotfair · 10/08/2014 22:23

Love Tess.

Felicity?
Juliet?

HaremScarem · 10/08/2014 22:25

Tess is a lovely name.

AppleSnapple · 10/08/2014 23:09

Tessa, beautiful name!

Please come back though OP and tell us what you've decided!!

HaroldLloyd · 10/08/2014 23:14

Alice is also lovely, but in think I prefer Tessa.

soaccidentprone · 10/08/2014 23:19

I wouldn't go for a name engine in y (or ie - not that I can think of any)

Mabel
Clara
Joan
Jane
Alice

MysteriousCircusZebra · 10/08/2014 23:22

Tess is a great name

Sophronia · 10/08/2014 23:26

Tess/Tessa or Tabitha.

jazzyjenbo · 10/08/2014 23:26

Congratulations! Your baby girl has a great birthday! (Its mine) so i think u should call her
Jennifer!

If u not keen Wink then how about

Matilda Ivy
Niamh Ivy
Millie Ivy
Elodie Ivy
Ellyn Ivy
Ruby Ivy

I know a gorgeous Ivy-Rose

CarriMarie · 11/08/2014 00:25

Tabitha Ivy goes best with your other dds, or maybe Jemima or Freya.

cakedays · 11/08/2014 00:46

Alice Pearl? The L problem won't be as striking with a middle name.

Wishfulmakeupping · 11/08/2014 07:48

Really like the suggestions of Violet and Georgia they flow well with your dd names :)

Sootgremlin · 11/08/2014 08:44

I love Tess - do you like Teresa as a full name?

Holly, Bryony, Olivia?

Cassie, Penny, Heidi?

Congratulations!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/08/2014 09:45

Libby, Poppy and Jennifer really nice together. :)

Sootgremlin · 11/08/2014 12:04
