Do you know many?

I like quirky type names.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No No NO!!! Please don't lumbar your child with that name.

I think Pat Butcher and a donkey on the beach called Queenie.

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 20/07/2014 22:05

I love it but would never use it because my firs thought us drag queen.

I'll have to get a pet to use up the name

SWIMTHECHANNEL · 20/07/2014 22:09

It's hardly unanimous Hermione.

NormHonal · 20/07/2014 23:03

Also my Great Aunt (nickname for Elizabeth Victoria).

And no, I wouldn't use it.

sleepdodger · 20/07/2014 23:05

??????
Dh however didn't Hmm

scarletforya · 20/07/2014 23:09

It's not really a name. It's like princess or dutchesse etc.

It's a title, not a name. You're doing the baby out of a name!

Pangaea · 20/07/2014 23:10

I know one. She's lovely and from Canada.

Chottie · 21/07/2014 11:14

Thanks everyone for your comments, my first choice of name was Princess, but that is so popular around here, I thought I would have to go one better :)

I actually love it.

Is it a derivative of something?

ThursdayLast · 21/07/2014 11:18

Just googled and it seems it's a name in its own right.
I love it!

squoosh · 21/07/2014 11:21

Victorian madam who runs a spit and sawdust brothel.

ThursdayLast · 21/07/2014 11:55

I think that's why I like it

MostlyMama · 21/07/2014 13:03

Terrible choice....you asked...theres an opinion

You are cruelly opening your child up for a life time of ridicule.

Jackie0 · 21/07/2014 13:06

I love it. Maybe it doesn't have the 'east end ' associations fir me because I don't live in England. It's a beautiful name.

Jackie0 · 21/07/2014 13:07

For not fir ............sorry

MamaDoGood · 21/07/2014 13:16

Yes I know a baby called Queenie (real name)
And a lady in her 50s who is only known as Queenie (I don't know her real name !!)

NanooCov · 21/07/2014 13:21

Awful

WhiteHairReally · 21/07/2014 15:08

I know of a teenage Queenie. It was also my grandmother's nickname. Her real name was France's but apparently as a child she was bossy, hence the nickname. By the time I knew her however she was known as 'Q' which I thought, and still think as cool. Anyone less like a pearly brothel keeper, you couldn't hope to meet.

I wish I'd given my DD 'Q' as a middle name.

squoosh · 21/07/2014 17:58

Queenie.

What does everyone think of Queenie as a first name?
Loz1975 · 21/07/2014 18:11

My friends DD is Queenie. I love it.

smokeandglitter · 21/07/2014 18:35

Makes me think of 'According to Queenie' by Beryl Bainbridge. Smile Not necessarily a bad thing, she was a fantastic writer! However, I'm not sure personally about the name, don't think I'd use it.
