Do you know many?

I like quirky type names.

Love it! The Queenie I know is 103. I think it's much nicer than other old ladies names such as Edith, Ivy, Ruby etc.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 20/07/2014 21:40

I think Adrian Mole or the scouse habit of calling women "queen"

Sizzlesthedog · 20/07/2014 21:42

Adrian Mole and Bert the pickled beet root man's wife.

kilmuir · 20/07/2014 21:42

Dear god no!

MrsPresley · 20/07/2014 21:42

Makes me think of cats Blush

McFox · 20/07/2014 21:43

Don't do it.

thornrose · 20/07/2014 21:43

I know a Queenie, she is about 4 years old and the name really suits her.

Her mum is gorgeous and has that Rockabilly, Amy Winehouse type vibe.

Decanter · 20/07/2014 21:45

I ADORE it, and although I'm 99.999999999999% sure I won't be having any more DCs, I'm 100% sure she would be called Queenie if she were a girl. I know many people will not like it but she will grow into her name and what a name! Love love love Grin

p.s. In a bizarre coincidence, I was just thinking about this name, seconds before I saw your post!

Stopmithering · 20/07/2014 21:46

Fine.
As long as you give birth to a 90 year old and you live in the East End of London Town.

Shouldwego · 20/07/2014 21:46

Seriously? It's awful.

RelocatorRelocator · 20/07/2014 21:47

Oh my god, no no no. Just no.

MsBug · 20/07/2014 21:49

Wasn't it originally a nickname for Victoria (who was queen at the time)? If so it could be a nickname for Elizabeth, that way she has other options if she doesn't like it when she grows up.

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 20/07/2014 21:50

I actually really like it. I don't think I'd have the guts to use it.

MilkandCereal · 20/07/2014 21:52

It's dreadful.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 20/07/2014 21:53

No no no.

Slavetothecat · 20/07/2014 21:55

What???

That's not a name. People will be asking what her real name is.

MollyBdenum · 20/07/2014 21:57

It's not really my style, but I love it. It make me think of sassy Victorian cockneys.

CointreauVersial · 20/07/2014 21:59

Knees Up Mother Brown.....

callipygian00 · 20/07/2014 22:00

I knew a dog called that when I was little, and I remember thinking it was pretty rank rotten then too - sorry :(

myotherusernameisbetter · 20/07/2014 22:01

Mrs Bug - I already said it was a nick name for Elizabeth.....I'm not old enough to remember it as a nick name for Victoria... :o

DoItTooJulia · 20/07/2014 22:01

Predictably, I love it. I too love quirky names and have a ds with a hated by mumsnet, quirky, try too hard name.

HermioneWeasley · 20/07/2014 22:02

Nooooooo

HermioneWeasley · 20/07/2014 22:03

I don't think I've ever seen a unanimous opinion on baby names before
