Hi

Which is your favourite out of the 3 ?

This is my first post on here & I'm due in 10 days with my first baby girl.

I'm really stuck on which name. Loved Nell all the way through my pregnancy but is it too short a name ? & I'm not keen on Nellie.

Betsy is cute too & Daisy seems like a nice but safe option & there are quite a few near where I live.

Please help !!

Nothing wrong with having a short name.

Gileswithachainsaw · 24/06/2014 15:41

Daisy definately.

Nell is an old lady name

Really not keen on betsy either

But daisy is really pretty

speak2me · 24/06/2014 15:41

Nell definatly. I know one who is just Nell, not short for anything and never really gets called Nellie .

justhayley · 24/06/2014 15:42

Daisy every time

MsGee · 24/06/2014 15:42

Nell or Betsy

FatalCabbage · 24/06/2014 15:43

I think Nell is the best as a whole name (elegant on an adult and cute on a child) but if I were choosing between Helena, Elizabeth and Marguerite to be known as ... then I'd struggle!

HowGoodIsThat · 24/06/2014 15:43

Nell is short for Helen if that helps in any way. I love it but our family already had a Helen.

Daisy was my Grannie - I love it.

Cookiepants · 24/06/2014 15:46

I would call her Eleanor, then she has the choice of;
Nell,
Ellie,
or Eleanor

squoosh · 24/06/2014 16:04

Nell. I can imagine a child or a woman called Nell.

I imagine Betsy and Daisy to look these girls.

Nell, Betsy or Daisy

Choc88 · 24/06/2014 16:14

Oh thanks for all your responses. Never knew it would be so stressful choosing a name. Always loved Nell but think my pregnancy hormones are making me me really indecisive & question everything argh !!!

I have a Nell, love the name.

How about Bunty?
I went to a school with a Bunty, I thought it such a cool name.

dottyaboutstripes · 24/06/2014 16:19

Completely adore Nell

winnertakesitall · 24/06/2014 16:20

Nell can also be short for Penelope meaning you/she could use Penny if you get a change of heart!

strawberryjam · 24/06/2014 16:25

Betsy was our top girls name. Then Nell and Daisy is lovely but v.popular

MagpieMama · 24/06/2014 16:28

Really like Nell!

PiggyPlumPie · 24/06/2014 16:30

I love Nell , also really like Betsy (not much help really! )

DD2 was going to be Daisy throughout my pregnancy but was definitely not a Daisy when she came (even less helpful! ).

burgatroyd · 24/06/2014 16:47

Oh no!!!! Not B(c)unty!

Favourite, bizarrely is Nell. But is WIll turn into Nellie or Nells between friends.

Bowlersarm · 24/06/2014 16:54

Daisy

Gorgeous name

TheWiseOldElf · 24/06/2014 16:57

DD2 was nearly Penelope shortened to Nell. I love it. Also really like your other options tho. You have great taste!

DitzyDonkey · 24/06/2014 17:14

Nell

Notso · 24/06/2014 17:17

Nell by miles.

Betsy is too bunnyish and Daisy too popular.
