Middle name Merrick, as a brother for Cyrus.

Cassius is lovely!

TwosaCrowd · 16/06/2014 22:43

See I think it's my number one choice, but it goes against my reasons for naming a child (racial heritage=Darius, inspirational name = Atticus). I just like Cassius!

Not Darius! Was that not some x factor type winner? The others are nice and probably quite unusual, especially Atticus.

Spurious · 16/06/2014 22:46

I am reading DD Atticus Claw ATM. So not that one. He's a tabby with a raggy ear.

Artandco · 16/06/2014 22:46

I know brothers Cyrus and Darius - Iranian heritage

I think Darius or Atticus as Cyrus and Cassius is a bit of a
Mouthful

NormanTheForeman · 16/06/2014 22:48

I like Darius. Or how about Marius?

MrsBungle · 16/06/2014 22:49

Cassius

taccure · 16/06/2014 22:58

Cassius and Cyrus are quite similar in sound but I like most of your names.

Artandco · 16/06/2014 22:59

What about:
Caspar
Aslan
Rohan

Darius Merrick sounds best from list

Eastpoint · 16/06/2014 23:02

The Cassius I know is often shortened to Cas. Do you like/mind that? If not Cas & Cyrus sound more different to my ear than Cassius & Cyrus. What about Arash?

taccure · 16/06/2014 23:02

Yes, those would be good. Or Caspian!

PitchSlapped · 16/06/2014 23:06

I like darius best out of your choices

Cassius or Atticus.
I don't like Darius.

rachel234 · 17/06/2014 06:59

I'd avoid another C name, as you already have a Cyrus (can get confusing when post arrives for Mr C. Surname).
Love Atticus but Darius is nice too.

I also know a Cassius and think it is lovely

Squirm · 17/06/2014 08:30

Cassius by a long way.

Atticus is pretentious in a bit if a laughable way, and Darius will forever be, hit me baby one more time.

Aurelius

Pebbles0934 · 17/06/2014 10:05

Don't like Darius.

I wanted Atticus or Cassius but I don't like the meaning of Cassius much "empty, robbed" and people keep telling me Atticus is pretentious?! Plus not many nicknames... Not sure I like Atti but you might?!

TwosaCrowd · 18/06/2014 19:38

A real mix of opinions then. I think it's going to be Cassius... But yes I don't like the meaning either to the poster who mentioned it, however it was Mohamed Ali's name, so that's quite nice at least.

Love Darius! Both the name and the Pop Idol version!! His younger brother is Cyrus (and I think he also has a brother called Aria?) I know far too much about him! It borders in obsession!! I like Cassius too though but the short versions seem a bit "girly" which puts me off a little.

looki · 18/06/2014 20:01

Atticus is my favourite. Least favourite is Darius. Cassius is ok and Cassie is a pretty ok nn.
