Opinions please!

And to pre-empt the usual criticisms...

  1. I have known a Lydia since I was 8 and never heard her name rhymed with any STIs
  2. Bianca to me is supermodel/humanitarian, Shakespearean characters, brave little Disney mice - not Eastenders characters
  3. I don't even remember Austin Allegros so doubt it will be an issue for babies being born in the near future
Grin

TIA! Thanks

Megan, bland and overused.

Lydia, urgh. Brings to mind a 1950's housewife in a flowery tabard and rollers. Awful.

Lara. Pleasant.

Bianca. Riccckkkaaayyyy!

Allegra. A braying toff with horsey teeth and huge nostrils!

I have a Megan absolutely not Meg, she insists, so I might be a bit biased. Yes, it was in the top ten when she was born (1996), which I had no clue about until after the fact, but that doesn't change the reasons I chose it. Although there are 1001 spellings, which can get tedious.

I like Lara.
Allegra, unfortunately, makes me think of allergy medicine (I'm in the US, so that might not be an association in the UK.)
I do like Lydia, but it makes me think of Beetlejuice.
Bianca reminds me of the mother cat in the Aristocats, but she was a very nice cat.

Lara or Megan.

Megan is lovely and I adore Meg as a nn.

I love Lydia too because of Beetlejuice Smile

Lara is to sing songy. I hate all the Lara, Lana, Alana type names, I much prefer Laura.

Allegra sound like a thing not a person.

Bianca I can't help but say this in a cockney accent, and my SIL had a hamster called this so it's a no from me.

Lydia, Lara then Allegra.
