Helena Kate or Eden

Classic or a bit more adventurous? I adore all 3 names. I also like Edie as a nn. Whichever we don't use as a first name we will either use as middle name(s) or perhaps keep it incase of another dd! Due date June 10th and these are our final three Smile

I have always adored Kate ever since I was really young. I fell in love with Eden after Marcia Cross named one of her twins Eden in 2008. As soon as I read it in a magazine I was smitten! Helena I think is just gorgeous. Very elegant. And many cute nn possibilities.

Helena

Ploppy16 · 12/05/2014 18:57

Out of the 3 I like Eden best. Slightly unusual and very pretty.

meditrina · 12/05/2014 18:59

Eden is traditionally a boys name, and wouldn't be my choice for that reason.

Helena has more than one pronunciation - are you OK with the iprospect that you may have to tell many people your preference?

Kate would be my choice.

Ohanarama · 12/05/2014 18:59

Helena Kate. Beautiful.

Ohanarama · 12/05/2014 19:01

oops sorry I thought you meant Helena and Kate as the middle name....I vote Helena then...classy and not over-used.

Mrsindecision · 12/05/2014 19:01

I would choose Kate out of the 3. I would avoid Helena because the variations in pronounciation would annoy me enormously and I'm not keen on Eden.

whattimeisitanyway · 12/05/2014 19:02

Helena Kate for me.

Helena is timeless and elegant. Kate is a great name.

I'm not fond of Eden at all. I also know more little Edens than Helenas so it isn't v adventurous or unusual if that is something important to you.

Bowlersarm · 12/05/2014 20:13

Kate

Eden-Helena Smile

MuttonCadet · 12/05/2014 21:10

Helena, Katherine, Elspeth. (Sorry I don't like Eden).

tryingtocatchthewind · 12/05/2014 21:13

Helena if pronounced hel-ay-na, I'm not as much of a fan of Helen-a as a pronunciation.

I love Kate too.

Eden is nice but too out there for my tastes

LosBreakingBad · 12/05/2014 21:47

My friend has an Hel-ay-na, they spell it Helaena. It's a beautiful and classic name.

devoncreamtea · 13/05/2014 11:15

Kate excellent name.

Helena - elegant

Eden - not a fan, dunno why.

OublietteBravo · 13/05/2014 11:25

I love Helena. My DD (10) is Helena (Hel-ay-na), although she prefers the nickname Lenny.
I also like Kate, which is DSis1's name,
Not so keen on Eden (the only one I know is a girl rather than a boy).

Gileswithachainsaw · 13/05/2014 11:26

Eden

Leeds2 · 13/05/2014 17:31

First Helena, then Kate. Lovely together, with Kate as a middle name.

Not keen on Eden.

Swoosg · 13/05/2014 19:56

Helena Kate is a gorgeous name... I nearly went for that with dd2.

PunkAssMoFo · 14/05/2014 09:09

Eden, lovely, unlikely to be 3 others in the class but not wierd

Nocomet · 14/05/2014 11:33

Helena, Kate is slightly dull.
Only Eden is male.

manicinsomniac · 14/05/2014 11:51

I love Eden

Kate is okay. I'm not keen on Helena

Marcipex · 16/05/2014 18:31

I know one male and two female Edens fwiw.
I like it for a girl.

TwllBach · 17/05/2014 14:59

I love Helena, it's beautiful, I like it Helen-a rather than helayna though.

I'm a Kate as a shortened version of the name on my birth certificate and I've never really liked it if I'm honest. Eden I'm not keen on but love Edie! Could it be short for Edith?
