Jake or Joel ???

Have been really impressed with DP's name choices aso I have put him in charge of son's name.
The shortlist is now Jake and Joel.
When I've mentioned it to people, the general consensus is how great Jake is...but Joel seems to get a thumbs down.
I love them both but know a few Jakes through DCs but don't know any Joels so think I'd prefer the latter.
What are your opinions ?

Joel definitely, there's loads of Jakes at dc school but only one Joel that I know of.

Jake. I have a Jake he is year three and the only one in his class.
