Italian boys names

Hi I'm expecting my fourth dc my family are Italian and my children all have Italian-ish names, so names that have Italian origins but not really unusual so they are continually mispronounced or misspelled. I think I'm very aware of this because I have a very Italian name that is quite unusual here and people always have problems with. So I need a boys name can anyone help?

Two I'm considering are Rocco and Carlo what do you think?

My favourite Italian name is Luca.

I love Rocco. My friend is married to an Italian man and they have a little Romeo who is absolutely adorable.

I like Rocco, Carlo sounds a bit dated to me though.

How about Bruno, Ludo, Luca, Orlando, Alessio? I personally love Bruno.

I prefer Carlo to Rocco - I think the later is becoming a bit more popular over here, don't know if that would deter you?

I've always liked Alessandro (Sandro is nice for short), Ettore and Dario.

Rocco is awesome. Some Italian boy names I know:

....off the top of my head. But most of the Italians I know just tend to pick traditional saints' names.

Love Bruno and Alessio! Actually I like Ludo too but think of it as more French, don't know why.

I love Luca that's dc3, I love Bruno but sounds awful with our surname.Rocco is our preference out of the two but wasn't sure if everyone would think of Madonna's son and think we were trying to be celeby! Which we are really not! :)

DD was gooing to be a Bruno if she was a boy.

Is Fabrizio Italian? I wanted that for DS ('inspired' by the drummer in The Strokes) but XP didn't, pah. Fab would be the most awesome nickname!

Ludo reminds me of the big hairy one from Labrynth hopes you don't have another dc called that and I've just pooped on it! great name though

Santino was on our list shortened to sonny but thought it was a bit too godfathery, I love loads of these names but it's trying to agree on one we both like! Mummybeerest you are right there are loads of kids with saints names and most priests expect you to have one in their name somewhere!
But to be honest most Italian names are saints names!

I have a Raphael (is Rafael the Italian spelling?) and we're considering Santiago if hypothetical dc2 ever materialises and is male.

Living in the UK and not of Italian origin on either side (dp and ILs are Caribbean and it's a family name) we've had nothing but positive comments, so it definitely works here :)

Elquinto that made me laugh so much! No I don't have a Ludo it I'm not that keen on it,it reminds me of the board game.

Midgey Fabrizio is indeed Italian I like it but know dp wouldn't! He likes quite strong names hence Rocco.

Hmm maybe the problem is dp not choosing a name! ;)

Anything but Matteo & Luca. Both beautiful names but are very much overdone. I even know two boys whose names are written Lucas are now called "Luca" by their mums.

Rocco is good. I'm not that keen on Carlo.
