I like both, but think Dominic has the edge.

hmm I say Jonathan too.

BellaVida · 27/03/2014 12:30

Jonathan- I just think Dominic sounds harsher and I prefer the short versions of Jonathan.

givemeaclue · 27/03/2014 12:34

Both are good. You can't go wrong

BlessedAssurance · 27/03/2014 12:47

Thanks everyone. We like them both and that's where the problem lies. DH likes Dominic better but would go for the other as well. I like Jonathan and would not mind Dominic so decided to see which one gets more votesGrin. I am 40+4 weeks today so we need to get going..

Another option is of course to wait and meet him then decide but right now i just wanted other people's opinions. thanks again.

Seems Jonathan is the front runnerSmile.

Whatever goes best with your surname as they are both good.

squoosh · 27/03/2014 13:00

Dominic.

Jonathan is so wet and spineless and insipid.

missmysexybody · 27/03/2014 13:01

Much prefer Dominic, it sounds cool, stylish and edgy. Im with your DH on this one : )

Innogen · 27/03/2014 13:27

John is far nicer than Dom.

hunreeeal · 27/03/2014 14:29

Dominic

Dreya · 27/03/2014 14:38

Dominic. I like Jonathan but not John and really dislike Johnny. Dominic is a great name. Do let us know what you choose. congratulations and good luck! Thanks

BlessedAssurance · 27/03/2014 19:34

Thank you again. Surname is Lund and we have a middle name, Elias. So, is it Dominic Elias or Jonathan Elias?. Decisions, decisions.

Dominic for me.

Ruprekt · 27/03/2014 20:43

Love Dominic! Smile

Smartiepants79 · 27/03/2014 20:44

Dominic.

susiedaisy · 27/03/2014 20:46

Dominic

iamnotthemoronwhisperer · 27/03/2014 20:47

Dominic.

I think it goes better with your surname too.

SusanBlinker · 27/03/2014 20:49

Dominic. Nearly called dc3 Dominic but changed our minds at the lady minute.

SusanBlinker · 27/03/2014 20:50

What the hell is a lady minute?? I meant last minute of course.

Bowlersarm · 27/03/2014 20:53

Would you shorten or not?

If you are trying to keep the name whole then Dominic.

If you don't mind shortened names then Jonathan nn Johnny.

wigglesrock · 27/03/2014 21:00

Dominic - this was one of my "boy names", its now been retired. I think it's lovely Smile

Jonathan - not so much. I love John but I can't have Jonny/ Johnny at all, so it would really put me off.

AddUpToNothing · 27/03/2014 21:02

Dominic for me. Though I did date a Jonathan known as Jonnie, so I do have a bit of a soft spot for the name!

CuttedUpGrape · 27/03/2014 21:06

Jonathan!!! My Jonathan is 2.5 so slightly biased but it's a fab name!

CuttedUpGrape · 27/03/2014 21:06

oh and he hardly ever gets called Johnny, if that helps
