dd2 is due by cs in 11 days and is still nameless! she was ava for ages but dh isnt keen. apart from maureen Angry the only other names are evelyn and anna. im not keen on evelyn really but I do really like anna (Ive been saying annie for weeks and hes never once said anna!)

our dd1 is emily elizabeth

would it be ok to have just anna? not too keen on annabel. is there many other names anna can be short for?

any other suggestions for simular names and also middlenames? surname begins with r if that makes any difference

thank you!

I love Anna - timeless and international.

Middle name Kate?

Anna is lovely Smile

I've known a Diana go by Ana, and a Rosanna go by Annie. Do any names ending in Anna appeal? (Have a mental block on what they might be right now, sorry!)

Or for a similar sounding name, what about Hannah?

Ladyflip · 23/03/2014 22:00

I have an Anna

All Annas are, by definition, extremely clever and very beautiful.

It's not so unpopular that it is weird, but she will probably be the only one in her school, unlike all those Evies and Graces.

Go for it!

tantrumtime · 23/03/2014 22:06

Just beautiful, what a lovely name.

Beanypip · 23/03/2014 22:06

I like hannah but ive mentioned that before and dh didnt like it. he likes names that cant be shortened and that are not top 50. says the man who chose emily which is top 10 and calls her em Grin

I like rosanna can be anna or rose ill put that to him once he stops snoring on the sofa!

thank you

Anna is a fabulous name.

Beamur · 23/03/2014 22:08

Anna on it's own is just fine, there's one in DD's class & I'd agree it seems to be a name that is not too popular so she might get to be the only one in her class. I think it's a lovely name.

blondiep14 · 23/03/2014 22:09

Love it! It is my DSister's name so am biased. But it is lovely.
