currently 5 months pg with #7.

if it's a girl we have a name combo sorted

if it's a boy we think Abraham would be nice and go with the names of our existing children who all have Biblical names.

so, yay or nay? Smile

Number SEVEN?! Wow!

Love Abraham, and Bram is a wonderful nn, so a huge YAY from me.

bakingtins · 23/03/2014 18:53

I think yay if a strong biblical connection is a positive. Only ever come across one, his brother is Solomon.

I also like Joel, Isaac, Matthew, Jonathan...

ZingSweetCoconut · 23/03/2014 18:54

ah, thanks.Smile

I like Abe (or when newborn Abey BabyGrin )

A definite nay. It's a very unattractive name.

DramaAlpaca · 23/03/2014 18:55

Not keen on Abraham, but Abe is very cool.

I know an Abe - he's just Abe, not Abraham.

ZingSweetCoconut · 23/03/2014 18:55

our other children are Joshua, Samuel, Michael, Noah, Isaac and Elizabeth

RabbitPies · 23/03/2014 18:57

Your other children's names are lovely, much nicer than Abraham.

ZingSweetCoconut · 23/03/2014 18:58

We'd register Abraham.

so hard to find a boy's name, they have lots of cousins with the same surname and so loads of names are out of question.

ZingSweetCoconut · 23/03/2014 18:58

our other idea so far is Zebedee.
Shock

bakingtins · 23/03/2014 19:00

Not Zebedee, too Magic Roundabout!

How about Reuben or Benjamin?

RabbitPies · 23/03/2014 19:01

Well Abraham is much nicer than Zebedee, but then anything would be.

Abraham doesn't see to work with the other names. It's a little too out there, though I realise they're all biblical names.

lilystem · 23/03/2014 19:01

Is he likely to ever join young farmers? I love the name but there's a drinking song called ' father Abraham' that he would definitely be subject to at every party in his teenage years in our circle of friends!

barnet · 23/03/2014 19:02

Abraham is lovely. Also Solomon.

ZingSweetCoconut · 23/03/2014 19:05

What's the drinking game?Grin

we do know a children's Bible song "Father Abraham, had many sons....", which is fine.

A lovely strong name.

puppadompreach · 23/03/2014 19:07

What about Adam? Zachariah?

ZingSweetCoconut · 23/03/2014 19:09

Don't like Adam

Isaac and Zachary/Zacharia are just too similar for me

OP posts:
ZingSweetCoconut · 23/03/2014 19:10

as in when pronounced, both have "Zac" sound

OP posts:
puppadompreach · 23/03/2014 19:16

Oh yes, didn't think of that!

Dinosaursareextinct · 23/03/2014 19:16

It sounds very Jewish. I appreciate that other names may sound Jewish too, but this one even more so? Of course that may be what you want.

puppadompreach · 23/03/2014 19:17

Abel??

HomeIsWhereTheHeartIs · 23/03/2014 19:22

What about Josiah? Or David? Abraham sounds like a very serious name to me. Couldn't imagine it for a baby. Elijah maybe?

lilystem · 23/03/2014 19:24

I can't actually remember it all but it involved standing on chairs in pubs singing
"father Abraham, seven sons he had,
Seven sons he had father Abraham,
They never laughed (everyone laughs)
They never cried (everyone cries)
All they did was go like this
With the right arm (drink)

Repeat with the left arm, right leg, left leg,

Finish with a hooar

Shirts off

Pants off

Ends in drunk nakedness.

Slightly more risqué than the Sunday school version!!

I do like the name though.

anewdispensation · 23/03/2014 19:27

What about Daniel?

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 23/03/2014 19:31

I'm sorry I still can't get past NUMBER SEVEN.

I mean Zing honey I knew you had a large brood but how on earth do you manage to MN so much??

Vair impressed Grin
