What do you think of the name Avia for a girl? (AYE-V-A) when I say "aye" I mean like rhymes with hey, bay etc. I am thinking either:

Avia
Avia Belle
Avia Mai/May

Opinions? Or even alternatives?

OOO also Zoella?

No for either from me, I'm afraid.

Avia makes me think of Aviva or Avis. You'd be better off going for Ava.

Zoella looks wrong. Like you took Zoe and Ella and bodged them together.

Holliee · 23/02/2014 00:08

I loved Ava initially but its just so popular at the moment!

Not keen on Avia, what about Aphia instead?

Innogen · 23/02/2014 00:11

Zoella is awful. You know the famous zoella actually called Zoe, and that is a dodgy nickname/username, don't you?

Only1scoop · 23/02/2014 00:12

Makes me think of my trainers....

Only1scoop · 23/02/2014 00:13

Is the Zoella bit a joke Grin

Martorana · 23/02/2014 00:15

My niece is Zulaika- known as Zuie. Any use? Please don't just add random letters to real names!

Holliee · 23/02/2014 00:16

There is a famous Zoella ? Hmm

Aye-vee-a? No. Nope. Sorry. Trying too hard. Ava is fine.

Ruprekt · 23/02/2014 00:17

Both awful.......ShockShockShock

Innogen · 23/02/2014 00:18

Yeah google her. Big in the make up world, loved by a mass of teenage girls, regular interviewer pal of One Direction.

I thought it was a rebranded rail franchise or insurance company!

Ava is lovely.

Zoella is not a real name, surely!

Holliee · 23/02/2014 00:33

Ava is far too popular.... Blame Zoella on my Sister..... I just love Avia

How about Avalon

Holliee · 23/02/2014 00:46

Thats like saying Sainsburys and Stephanie....

OP posts:
Leeds2 · 23/02/2014 00:46

It sounds like an insurance product to me.

Holliee · 23/02/2014 00:50

It is pronounced the polar opposite of Aviva though

Dovahkiin · 23/02/2014 02:18

A friend recently had a Zinnia. It might be a nice compromise, and it's a lovely name in itself - a type of flower.

GinnelsandWhippets · 23/02/2014 02:32

Yep, sorry my first thought was 'isn't that a car hire company'. And agree zoella just sounds like two names bunged together.

Doctorbrownbear · 23/02/2014 02:33

Sounds like a car.
