..What other names might I like?

I'm looking for a name which has absolutely no personal or cultural significance for me or my family, which clearly denotes to other parents that I'm terribly well-educated and artistic while simultaneously suggesting that I don't care in the least what other people think.

Ladies, can you help?

Grin thank you cas - tbh coruskate is having the same effect on me....

Weegiemum · 21/02/2014 03:00

After these fabulous suggestions I'm wondering if CorusKate might be the name you're looking for.

You could always double barrel it, or use the lesser-known LucasFilm version, Corascant?

It's a bit too soft on its own as a boy's name.

Yonisocrates might work?

The stresses in Yonisocrates are super ambiguous, only the most educated would know it's pronounced in cod Japanese, except with the 'crates' obviously as in crates of beer:

'Yo-nee-so-crates'

You could stress different parts of it depending on what message you wanted to communicate:

YO! NEE-so-crates! if summoning the infant from his nursery

Yooooooo-neeeeeeeee-sooooooooooo-crates in a low, slow rumble if wanting to show anger.

And so on.

Weegiemum · 21/02/2014 03:28

Yes!

Yoni-Korus Kate for a boy! Live the dream!

(Though I'm harbouring love for Nebuchanezzer (clearly nn Nez) or, in the ancient Egypt vive, Tutankhamen, though I'm torn on whether Tut or Khan is the best shortening. Given Benedict Cumberbatch was Khan in the latest Star Trek movie, I'm sensing it might become too trendy?

Weegiemum · 21/02/2014 03:29

Oh Aga you are out of touch. It was So-crates in the Bill & Ted film and that was when i was young!!

AgaPanthers · 21/02/2014 03:31

Yo-nee-sock-RAH-tes?

AgaPanthers · 21/02/2014 03:37

Seriously, I'm struggling with depression and can't sleep - but I'm actually laughing! Thankyou!!

Though I'm thinking now that Aktuly-Layfing could be a good option?

GummiBear74 · 21/02/2014 03:46

Boy: Godzilla Ne'erdowell (I think the apostrophe is so classy, don't you?)

Girl: Xenophobia Syllabub

This thread is not conducive to stable breast feeding. Little Kali Septicaemia is getting quite shaken about!

AgaPanthers · 21/02/2014 03:46

I was thinking S3, if he was the third child, but Tab might be more catchy.

NancyinCali · 21/02/2014 03:49

Samson Galaxy is getting really popular though Aga. Heard it yelled across the local park several times this week.

OP If you like Pomander can I suggest Potpourri? Pronounced Po-pur-ee of course.

LettertoHermioneGranger · 21/02/2014 03:50

For a girl I was thinking Princess Consuela Bananahammock.

A boy, obviously, Crap Bag.

TheXxed · 21/02/2014 03:51

Oooh ooooh can I join, how about

Areola Milan Flood plaayne

For a boy of course
