ps mummyjanine, not sure how much time you spendon babyname threads (iv been here loads recently due to imminent arrival of un named one), but if you hang around you will notice that some people kind of enjoy the sport of it in a not very kind type of wsy. dont be upset, its obvious you were just having a bit of fun!

I'd say my own name, of course. It's well and truly hated on MN due to having been used on Eastenders and is 'too American' but actually before that it was only one thing - the most gorgeous shade of blue and a very luxurious jewellers.

Oh my sister's name should probably be included for being 'chavvy' and a 'little girl's' name. Oh and the shortening is obviously horrifying if you do decide to name your precious DD it how could you cope with such a bad NN? Hmm

My name is hated Grin apparently 'every other little girl in Britain is called it', and it's a 'chav' name. There certainly weren't many around in 1994, and I've never met another with the name, 'chav' or not Wink

I came on this thread actually looking for suggestions for our next dc. DSs name gets some pretty nasty responses so i thought i may find something i like amongst peoples most hated. Sure enough the very first post had a name i love in it - Gertrude. I think Rudy is an absolutely gorgeous name for a girl. Haven't found any boys names i like, so come on people dig deep and think of ones you reaaallly hate. I'm sure to love it.

Worst girl's name - mummyjanine

I've vetoed it Zing. DS has a name of a Shakespearian character (not intentionally) so we'd look like Shakespeare weirdoes - which we aren't btw.

Not really of course - it starts with L and it is the most beauteous boys name in the land. The problem is we love it so much we just can't think of one for the expected sibling which is as gorgeous. I am thinking of starting a thread for inspiration but i may not be able to handle negative comments. I got some last time and i still feel angry about it. Which i accept is sad and funny at the same time. But it just felt so personal.

I think I know what it is MrsK, I think it's a lovely name, tough one to match though, as you say!
