If I like Sebastian, Rafferty and Barnaby what else might I like?

We have a Madeleine and a Theodore (nn Teddy).

Do you think Seb / Sebbie is a bit too close to Teddy?

Our surname starts with a b and rhymes with cherry so I'm not 100% on the alliteration of Barnaby?

Are they all a bit "posh toff" sounding? Particularly Sebastian and Rafferty. They all seem to be quite marmite names, I wanted something safer as we ruffled enough feathers with Theodore! Though I really love them all and it's so rare that dh and I like ANY of the same names! He only likes long flowy names, I like both!

HEEELLLP! What do you think of those and What else might I like?

I like all your names especially Madeleine and Theodore.

How about:
Rupert
Joshua
Lysander
Marcus
Toby (Tobias)

TheFutureSupremeRulersMum · 07/01/2014 21:20

And no I don't think Seb or Sebbie is close to Teddie. Go for Sebastian (love that name!)

LittleMilla · 07/01/2014 21:27

Oscar
Ludo (just heard this on ch4 prog and proclaimed that next son will be called that!)

Love Rafferty btw

I have Wilf and Gilby

Puddles1234 · 07/01/2014 21:27

What about,

Rupert
Hugo
Edward
Tobias
Tarquin
Felix
Percy
Caspian.

Out of the three you have listed on your post, I prefer Sebastian and Rafferty.

Pleasesleep · 07/01/2014 21:41

Edward is ds's middle name and whilst I LOVE Hugo my friend has just used that for her little boy.

I like Felix, joshua, tobias and rupert but dh doesn't (told you he was ultra fussy)

He quite likes Bruno but I'm not keen. I like George and Seth but he doesn't like the lack of nickname potential! Perhaps we'll never find another name we agree on!!

Henry is nice and dh says "it's ok" so that could be a go-er :o

Do you think it's quite popular though? I wonder if its getting more so too?

I don't know any Henry's at all.

I know a Humphrey which is also a nice name :)

starlightloz · 07/01/2014 23:05

I absolutely love Rafferty and Sebastian and were close contenders for DS4. Tobias is a fantastic name. How about Zephaniah or Eli?

Lighthousekeeping · 07/01/2014 23:10

Raffle and Henry are popular and Skylar is being used more. I like Tobias, Ned and Hector. Love Felix.

Lighthousekeeping · 07/01/2014 23:11

Really like Theodore and Madeleine. I think Rafferty would go well or how about Quentin or Reuben?

BrianTheMole · 07/01/2014 23:18

I love Barnaby, or Barney for short.

meisiemee · 07/01/2014 23:23

Love Rafferty, fab name! Smile

Llareggub · 07/01/2014 23:29

There are two Sebbys in my son's class. He's a Barnaby so your choice might well prove to be popular!

mydaftlass · 07/01/2014 23:37

Inigo

sleepingbeautiful · 08/01/2014 00:17

I think Sebastian goes nicely with the sibs. I don't think it's a "posh" name. The two I know are from very normal middle of the range families.

Other suggestions:
Rufus
Douglas
Frederick
Kingsley
Phineas
Abraham (Bram)
Constantine
Nathaniel

(by the way, does your older DS know there was a 70s TV prog and books about a bear called Teddy Edward? You can find it on Youtube :) )

impatientlywaiting · 08/01/2014 02:12

I love your choice in names. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and think we're going to call our little boy Rafferty or Sebastian.

We're leaning towards Rafferty at the moment.

Others we liked were:
Rex
Felix
Arlo
Ralph
Rufus
Seth

InfiniteJest · 08/01/2014 03:05

Love your taste in names! How about:

Griffin
Gideon
Thierry
Finnian
