Sorry if this has been done to death but I'm due to give birth to DS2 in 6 weeks and I still haven't fallen in love with a name. DS is Henry so I thought I might find inspiration from this.

Mine are:

John (DS' middle name) and
Arthur (I like this and think it goes but DH isn't keen)

Oliver (paternal) and Ezekiel (maternal). DF is James, known as Jim. Grandad Oliver had a twin brother called Guy. My uncles are called Norman, Cecil (yes, seriously) Peter, George and Paul. Apparently Cecil was named after a grandfather, so that May have been Oliver and Guy's father.

Paternal grandfather was Howard, had a brother named Charles, called Charlie.

Maternal grandfather was Frederick, always called Fred. He was one of my favorite people ever. His brother was named Brooks.

superbagpuss · 01/01/2014 11:35

nothing that hasn't been said (other than Ignatius) but be careful

when trying to name our ds we went through my dads side of their family only to find there is a history of repeating names through the generations so not a lot to choose from

In my cousins generation one girl has my first name and one has my middle name - I guess we all like to play it safe

ds got my dads name in his, the other ds got dh middle name
