This is a front runner for dc2. On here it seems popular but I only know of one!

1 adult plus 4 children. I'm in Scotland and its pretty popular here. Its a beautiful name.

ginmakesitallok · 27/10/2013 08:19

One, in her 40s. Scotland

bigTillyMint · 27/10/2013 08:23

1 aged 15.

EauRouge · 27/10/2013 08:23

Only one, possibly because in the local accent it sounds like 'Oiler'.

lljkk · 27/10/2013 08:24

One in yr2. Norfolk.

MuffCakes · 27/10/2013 08:31

4 under 5, I really liked it till I realised it was everywhere.

Jen50000 · 27/10/2013 08:32

3 out of 4 of my friends have called their daughter this in the last 3 months. It is beautiful but exceptionally popular. Seems Isla and Darcy are very 'on trend.'

Alexandrite · 27/10/2013 08:47

My dd is 6 and there are 2 in her class at school

PetuliaThePigWitch · 27/10/2013 09:01

Zero.

EricLovesAnyFucker · 27/10/2013 09:19

Loads. Well three. All 5 and under. It's quite overused popular.

feelingvunerable · 27/10/2013 09:58

None.

TheBookofRuth · 27/10/2013 10:07

I don't know any. I know umpty-gillion Isabelle/Isabellas though.

NorbertDentressangle · 27/10/2013 10:12

None (although I don't know very many under 5s as my two are older)

I do know an Iona though - could be an alternative if Isla is too popular where you are?

babyboomersrock · 27/10/2013 10:13

I know three under 3 - also Scotland.

Stravy · 27/10/2013 10:14

3 in dd's Y3 class

Nel1975 · 27/10/2013 10:16

One adults, but spelt Aila.

Isawitchcackling · 27/10/2013 10:21

I know one, it's a beautiful name but the child is TOXIC! Don't let that put you off though Grin

Grotbagstwin · 27/10/2013 10:23

5, the oldest is 30 then the rest are under 6.

nowthenmardyfucker · 27/10/2013 10:27

One.

If you like it, go with it OP. I worried over popularity when naming DD. It turns out she has a v popular name (without us realising) but is the only one we know of.

You could choose a very unused name and some celeb could use it/ reality tv star with that name may hit the news and all of a sudden it is number one!

happy2help · 27/10/2013 10:28

I know 2, both under 3 yrs old.

MrsCosmopilite · 27/10/2013 10:29

Two, both under 5.

nomoreminibreaks · 27/10/2013 10:46

At least 4. I think it's a nice name but more commonly used than any other name I know of at the moment.

I keep imagining that it will be like Sarah or Emma were when I was growing up. No judgement though - I'm considering a top 10 name for DS2 and, while ideally the name would be less popular, if its a choice between a name I love and a name I like less but is less commonly used, I'd rather choose a name I love.

TombOfMummyBeerest · 27/10/2013 11:04

Just one, years ago, she's probably 6 now. It's a gorgeous name regardless.

InsultingBadger · 27/10/2013 13:26

2, both under 4

grizzabellia · 27/10/2013 13:58

I have one, she is only one in her school. However, we seem to encounter a lot under 3 so I would predict if you use the name now there may be a few in her class.

Having said that, of the most popular names from the year she was born (grace ruby olivia) there are none in her reception class. So even popular names I think are less ubiquitous than they were.

I would discourage people from using it as don't want it to be even more popular! It was about number 65 in popularity chart when chose it and 8 last year - am hoping it starts to fall again soon!
