Prepared for a flaming. Grin

We're thinking of this as a middle name and both have heritage from countries where it's a recognised name.

August is a great name - strong, classic and underused. Lovely!

Sam, Oliver or Leo are so much more widely used already.

I like it. It's a strong name. I know a few Augustins and Augustinas. If it recognises part of your heritage, even better. I don't think it's strange at all :)

Sorry but it's terrible.

I watched an old episode of Taggart last night & there was a character called August. Although he did turn out to have murdered 2 people ..........

Makes me think of Fringe, but I expect this is quite an obscure reaction even now and will get even more obscure as the programme dates.

My friend's name August Megert. It's a beautiful name and suits his personality perfectly.

I'm sure it works as a boy's name. Esp as you are using it as a middle name.

I prefer Augustus, but I still like it very much. I have a Gus Smile
