Why on earth do people like Scout? It's horrible, look at all the nasty things it rhymes with:

bout, clout, doubt, flout, gout, grout, knout, kraut, lout, pout, rout, shout, snout, spout, sprout, stout, tout, trout

I know it's in that book, but it wasn't even the character's name, it was just a nickname. I know somebody who had a horse called Scout, and that's where it suits.

Say what you really think...

Hazelbrowneyes · 16/09/2013 16:16

My choices from your list:

SprinkleLiberally · 16/09/2013 16:29

I like Elsa Mabel
Flora June (not on list!
Esther

SprinkleLiberally · 16/09/2013 16:31

Was also going to suggest Emmett but someone beat me to it!

DoItTooJulia · 16/09/2013 18:58

I love Otiliie and Pearl. In fact, makes a nice name, Otillie Pearl.

I like Asa from the boys list, but really like Jesse. I know it's not on your list though!

NachoAddict · 16/09/2013 19:03

Elsie Fern

Jude Lowen

I found it difficult to choose any that I liked that went together from your lists.

Love Elsie and Jude.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 16/09/2013 19:25

Love Otillie Pearl, that's really pretty Smile

Emery Hart is rather lovely too.

I'm sure Jesse was on the list,it should be anyhow....

I 'd choose Merryn and Innes, but I know your other dcs' s names and I think Merryn and Innes are a bit too mainstream in comparison.

DoItTooJulia · 16/09/2013 19:54

And I like Ernest. We have similar tastes ans Ernest was on my list for my Arlo!

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 21/09/2013 09:51

Giving this a little bump Smile

Sylvie and Quinton. I love, love, love Sylvie!

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 21/09/2013 11:53

What middle names would you use for Sylvie?

OP posts:
buzzgirly · 21/09/2013 12:29

From your list I think Sylvie Ophelia sounds lovely.

If I get my Sylvie if I can convince dh to have a 3rd her middle name will be Isabella as its a family name.

Oriunda · 21/09/2013 13:20

Ophelia Delphi
Rupert bartholomew

Not v keen on boys' list but lots of lovely girls' names

BoyMeetsWorld · 21/09/2013 13:25

You've listed some of my all time favourite girls names. From your list, I'd go with Odette. Adore it. Or else Celeste or Ariella.

Not so keen on your boys names oddly enough unless you're Scandinavian? They don't seem quite natural. In the same kind of vein though, how about Oberon (nn Obie or Ronnie)?

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 27/09/2013 19:47

Still loving Rufus or Asa for a boy, can't figure out good mn's though.

but really stuck for girls names....Flora is top of the list but I really want a back up...

Violet?
Pearl?
Ivy is getting too popular for my liking I think....

stopprocrastinating · 27/09/2013 23:06

Sylvie Clementine

Rowan Barnabas

Swangirl · 27/09/2013 23:28

I love Odin and Artemis but I would use Artemis as a girls name because in greek mythology she is a godness.
I also like Hesten and Enid

tammytoby · 28/09/2013 07:18

Violet Clementine
Quentin Ivo
