Middle name for Claudia?

CruCru · 20/08/2013 09:49

I am fairly fixed on Claudia for our DD who is due at the end of next month. I am trying to think of middle names - so far I've come up with:

Claudia Minerva (DH will hate this)
Claudia Eve or Eva
Claudia Elizabeth

Our surname is one syllable and begins with R. What else should I consider?

Claudia Rose

ImATotJeSuisUneTot · 20/08/2013 10:06

Claudia Fay
Claudia Marie

Spindelina · 20/08/2013 10:12

Anything ending in -en/an/yn
Lauren
Merryn
Bethan
Helen
etc

Don't like Minerva myself. The --a --a doesn't sound nice to me.

CruCru · 20/08/2013 11:35

Hmm. You may be right. I'm not that keen on Rose as it clashes a bit with our surname. I like Claudia Rosalind but am a bit worried that it is still too alliterative.

will she be using it?

Claudia Elizabeth is nice.

CruCru · 20/08/2013 11:42

Dunno, but I would like it to sound nice altogether. I also like Claudia Miriam but Miriam was firmly vetoed by DH and I have managed to convince him on Claudia so think it might be a bit unreasonable to resurrect Miriam as a middle name.

They're also from quite different origins so that might also sound funny.

Claudia marie?
Claudia eve tends to not roll very well imo

Spindelina · 20/08/2013 11:56

What sort of names does DH like?

CruCru · 20/08/2013 11:58

I think he liked Jane and Alice. Also Eva. Claudia Alice might be nice?

PearlyWhites · 20/08/2013 11:58

Not Minerva it sounds like contraception! I love Claudia though Rose would be nice or Grace.

waikikamookau · 20/08/2013 11:59

Claudia jane rolls nicely,
Claudia alice, two nice names Wink

ToddCranes · 20/08/2013 11:59

I was just about to suggest Alice

waikikamookau · 20/08/2013 12:00

but Claudia Alice, acronym, would be CAR,
does that matter?

CruCru · 20/08/2013 12:00

Well Minerva was the Roman goddess of war so would keep the Roman name theme - but I know DH will hate it so it's a bit of a moot suggestion.

OP posts:
CruCru · 20/08/2013 12:01

CAR isn't offensive or particularly silly. Don't think it would bother me. What do you think?

mrsyattering · 20/08/2013 12:02

Claudia Grace
Claudia Hannah
Claudia Anne
Claudia Alice

waikikamookau · 20/08/2013 12:03

CAR wouldn't bother anyone, I doubt.

wordfactory · 20/08/2013 12:03

I think it needs to be one sylable after three.

Claudia May.
Claudia Jayne.
Claudia Grace
Claudia Rose.
Claudia Fleur.
Claudia Eve.

BreasticlesNTesticles · 20/08/2013 12:05

We have a Claudia Joy!

CruCru · 20/08/2013 12:06

Usually I would agree but do you think it's a bit stark with a one syllable surname?

What do you think of

Claudia Astrid
Claudia Isolde?

OP posts:
CruCru · 20/08/2013 12:09

Claudia Joy is really nice. CJR - the initials are okay too.

OP posts:
waikikamookau · 20/08/2013 12:12

Claudia Angelina?

waikikamookau · 20/08/2013 12:15

Claudia Isabella
going for the 3 syllables

LaRosaBella · 20/08/2013 12:18

I like Claudia Marie. I think a long middle name is too much.

waikikamookau · 20/08/2013 12:20

I have a Claudia marie,
Grin
