Middle name for Cecily?

Rosenip · 27/06/2013 10:43

I love this name if our baby is a girl, but not sure what to put with it! Our surname begins with a G.... so vowels could be tricky as don't want to spell anything with initials.

Also 1 or 2 middle names? Might help with the vowel issue...

TIA :)

p.s. if you don't like the name thats ok but please don't post just to tell me that.

Have you got any family names you could use as inspiration?

Rosenip · 27/06/2013 11:03

Family names not inspiring, we have Jane, Daphne, Annette.... not tradition with a certain name for a middle name either.

Also will likely be a December baby (edd 30 Nov) so wondering if anything Christmassy would fit?!

I like Cecily May... that does sound nice :)

Thanks Chewing... Grin

Am wrong, she was Cicely Mary.

Would you pronounce Cecily "Siss-er-ly" by the way? That's how I would pronounce both spellings, but may be wrong?

Northumberlandlass · 27/06/2013 12:55

ooo Cecily Winter sound glamorous! I'd go for that Smile

I was going to say Rose though.

Cecily Wren and Cecily Winter are fabulous for a winter baby.

Rosenip · 27/06/2013 14:48

Winter? That is fabulous sounding... I may have to sneak it past DH on to the birth certificate though!

Alice is lovely... DH will like that.

Rose was my fav but understand it's a very popular middle name at the moment?

And I think we would prounnounce it sess-er-lee

:)

Cecily Louisa. But I also like Cecily Wren (am hoping Wren becomes a bit more mainstream so I might be brave enough to use it if I have a DD!).

Rosenip · 27/06/2013 15:09

Cecily Wren just sounds so lovely, I would have never thought of that by myself. Thanks very much... will have a chat with DH this evening!
