DS Grin

Ficidy · 18/06/2013 14:08

I absolutely love this name and want it for our little one, but my dh is having none of it. Spoilsport.

mmmmmchocolate · 18/06/2013 14:12

Ginger cat. Sorry.

lalalonglegs · 18/06/2013 14:15

I really like this name - the only Arlo I have heard of is Arlo Guthrie who sings .

BabsAndTheRu · 18/06/2013 14:17

Love it and was about to post the same as lalalonglegs.

burberryqueen · 18/06/2013 14:19

ditsygem · 18/06/2013 16:24

I think it's lovely

GingerCurry · 18/06/2013 16:47

Not too keen myself.
I will sit in your DHs camp on this one.

I like it.

AThingInYourLife · 18/06/2013 16:55

4 years ago there were no Arlos (Guthrie aside).

Now there are many.

A child called Arlo is the poster boy for trendy, faddish names.

It is a good name though.

ImaginaryHat · 18/06/2013 16:57

Love it, doesn't work with our surname though so will never get to use it Sad

Damnautocorrect · 18/06/2013 17:03

Have you ever been to harlow Essex?
Now say Harlow in a towie way, what do you get?
The name itself is lovely but that's what it makes me think of

There is/was somebody on 5live called Arlo White, which sounds a bit like Isle of Wight, so it depends on your surname, I suppose

burberryqueen · 18/06/2013 20:15

now say Arlo in an upper middle class accent (thinking of nephew here) it sounds nothing like Harlow

Sanjifair · 18/06/2013 21:51

The problem is that the Harlow locals pronounce it 'Arlo'. I just couldn't use it.

LittleMilla · 18/06/2013 21:55

Really like it. Agree that is some parts it's becoming quite trendy so not sure how keen you are for a unique name?

5madthings · 18/06/2013 21:57

Love it, its ds4's middle name.

And athing if you look at the name statistics there are not 'many' arlos at all.

allinatizz · 18/06/2013 22:00

I liked it but DC2 turned out to be a girl. I still like it and have heard of 2 babies in the last 18 months with the name. Go for it, it isn't particularly popular, but it is nice.

FingersCrossedLegsNot · 18/06/2013 22:38

Love it
