Just wondering what people think of this name?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
agirlcalledsandoz · 13/06/2013 14:36

I love it ! Also not over used

GingerCurry · 13/06/2013 15:32

I don't like it sorry. Cant imagine a baby Claudia
Sounds like quite a cold name to me.

CoffeeandNumbers · 13/06/2013 15:34

Love it! Feminine but strong. Good choice.

MisselthwaiteManor · 13/06/2013 15:36

I like it

SauceForTheGander · 13/06/2013 15:38

Love it. Agree it sounds grown up but so what.

phlebas · 13/06/2013 15:42

My eldest dd (12yo) is Claudia & I still love it :) We wanted something totally non cutesy - when she was little she was often Claudie now she's just Claudia. There is one other Claudia (a couple of years older) in her school & one in my dd2's nursery class.

Dackyduddles · 13/06/2013 15:45

Personally I love it. But then I'm biased very strongly to this name as its very special to me. X

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 13/06/2013 15:55

Love it. Wanted it but DH wasn't so keen. Don't know any children with this name ATM

Mockingcurl · 13/06/2013 15:57

I know a 19 year old Claudia. She is known as Cloud to her friends. I think it's a lovely name.

ImaginaryHat · 13/06/2013 16:25

I love it, beautiful and classic but not frilly.

poppydaisy · 13/06/2013 16:27

Maybe I've studied too much Latin but I cannot get past the 'disabled/lame' meaning of the name. But perhaps that doesn't bother you.

squoosh · 13/06/2013 16:37

Love it.

HesterShaw · 13/06/2013 16:41

Are you thinking the English "Clordia" or German "Cloudia" pronunciation?

Elquota · 13/06/2013 16:44

Not keen, sorry. It's a bit hard sounding.

Reastie · 13/06/2013 16:47

I really like it.

LedaOfSparta · 13/06/2013 16:52

Love it but DH wouldn't let me use it for DD

Tangfasticlady · 13/06/2013 17:04

My 14yo dd is named Claudia, I love her name and think it really suits her, however she isn't as keen.

burberryqueen · 13/06/2013 17:07

I really like it but only when it is pron. 'cloudier' not 'clawdia' - something to do with word association perhaps....

AuntieBrenda · 13/06/2013 17:08

That was on my list! I had a DS though so I've banked it for next time

farmersdaughter · 13/06/2013 17:09

It's my current favourite girls name for DC2. It's strong, yet feminine everyone's heard of it yet is not overly used.

TolliverGroat · 13/06/2013 17:12

I know a baby Claudia. It's nice.

Cassieyellow · 13/06/2013 18:28

Hi glad you have asked as this is one of our top choices too. I am concerned about the 'lame' meaning. Plus the two pronunciation s. I asked a teenage girl i know called Claudia and she said she does get annoyed by that... Lovely name isn't it. What to do..!

Bowlersarm · 13/06/2013 18:30

I like it. I actually think it suits all ages.

wigglesrock · 13/06/2013 18:30

I think it's beautiful, absolutely gorgeous. The meaning wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Sleepingbunnies · 13/06/2013 18:30

Love it. Would be on my list if when we have the next one!
