how many kids do you know called Arlo and what are they like?

I love this name, probably because it comes with NO connotations. I don't know anyone called Arlo apart from Arlo Guthrie.

However, I know it has shot up in popularity recently and friends of mine who already have kids casually tell me they know 4 or 5 Arlos. I don't want to give DS a faddy name, so I'm trying to guage how popular it really is.

So - as in the title: how many kids do you know called Arlo and what are they like?

(second bonus question: what do you imagine Arlo to be like?)

Heard it a couple of times recently for new babies but don't know any older ones with this name.

My ds4 is rudi arlo after arlo guthrie! We love the name and dont know any others.

Chrck the national name statistics to get an idea if how popular it is but i dont think it was in the top 100 last yr.

Arlo was our chosen boys name - but we were destined to have two girls.

Don't know any others and quite frankly, I think its the coolest boys name going. Am v of anyone who gets to use it!

Agree with pretentious parents but it depends on the area you live and who you associate with - if your friends kids are clarrissa penelope and cuthbert its fine but if they are david nathan and britney then noooooo chance it won't get your baby bullied :(

I know of a baby about 6 months old or so. No idea about his personality and I'm afraid I can't remember his older siblings' names but I do remember thinking Arlo was an unusual choice given their names. I quite like it but then I do like more unusual names.

I know one and he is a lovely, very well behaved toddler. I don't think it's a pretentious name at all.

I know one aged 6 months. Mum is quite nice but self-appointed expert on everything to do with babies so a bit irritating. Not keen on the name Myself but have heard other mums gushing to her about how nice it is!

We considered it, one of DH's favourite professional skateboarders is named Arlo Eisenberg but when we mentioned it people looked confused and said "Harlow?" so we chose something else.

I know one. He is stunningly good looking with long dark curls and is ace at sports. The girls all chase him. His name suits him. I like it.
