I need some help. I'm 36 weeks pg with DD2 & we can't think/agree on a name.
DD1 is called Florence & we're pretty uninspired for this one.
So far we quite like:
Martha
Matilda
Eliza (DH is not keen on this one).
Any comments on these or suggestions would be gratefully received!

Matilda is nice. Maybe Elizabeth instead of Eliza?

elvisola · 08/12/2012 21:32

I know siblings called Florence and Darcey

Skiffen · 08/12/2012 21:32

I know sisters Florence &:

Imogen
Alexandra
Olivia

My grandmother's sister was Florence. She was Ruth, and they had a cousin called Silvia.

Of the three, I loooove Sylvia.

Ha! Loving these comments. My DD1 is Florence and DD2 is Matilda Martha! (I'm inadvertently a mumsnet cliche!)

I had loads of lovely comments about DD2's name. Oh and if there was ever a DD3 I'd like her to be Audrey. And DD2 was nearly Meredith (LOVE this!) but DH wasn't sure.

Not sure if that's helpful or not? Smile

I know sisters called Florence and Rose. Names work really well together and separately.

HoHoHokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 09/12/2012 00:14

I know a Florence, her sister is called Joyce, they go together nicely i think.

goralka · 09/12/2012 00:18

Joanna then you will have Flo and Jo

scarlettsmummy2 · 09/12/2012 00:23

My Florence's sister is called Scarlett and her middle name is Ottilie.
We like them!

amck5700 · 09/12/2012 00:25

Florence & Vanessa

Startail · 09/12/2012 01:03

My youngest cousin is Rosie (Rosemary on her BC, but always Rosie).

I wasn't sure about it when she was born and I was 15, but it has really grown on me. It has a timeless charm that Lily, poppy and Daisy probably don't have.

It certainly goes well with Florence.

Geranium3 · 09/12/2012 16:19

marigold
eleanor
daisy
vivienne

buttercrumble · 09/12/2012 16:21

Annie or Violet...

3boysgirlontheway · 09/12/2012 17:00

Primrose. My Florence wont have a sister but, if she did I would consider Primrose for her.

yellowsubmarine53 · 09/12/2012 17:41

Iris or Viola?

PieEyedAndLairySanta · 09/12/2012 17:56

Emily
Alice
Beatrice
Ethel
Rose
Violet and Hepzibah Xmas Grin

mathanxiety · 09/12/2012 19:28

Annabel
Antonia
Constance or Constanza
Cornelia
Christabel
Genevieve
Vivienne
Katherine
Stella
Hazel
Helena
Leonora
Laurel
Lyra
Evelyn
Melisande
Rosalind
Linnea

Some lovely names on this thread.
Of the names you have in mind, OP, I like Matilda and I think it goes really well with Florence. I like Eliza but I think Elizabeth goes better with Florence. I'm not keen on Martha at all.

mathanxiety · 09/12/2012 19:30

PieEyed, isn't it amazing how up to date those names look? Maybe with the exception of Ethel.
I know a little Hephzibah.
