I need some help. I'm 36 weeks pg with DD2 & we can't think/agree on a name.
DD1 is called Florence & we're pretty uninspired for this one.
So far we quite like:
Martha
Matilda
Eliza (DH is not keen on this one).
Any comments on these or suggestions would be gratefully received!

HelpOneAnother - I like all those names. Jean always reminds me of watching the prime of miss jean Brodie as a child.

Ooh I love Margo/Margot. Definitely time for bringing that back (I can't with my surname but I think it's beautiful)

telsa · 07/12/2012 11:50

Adelaide
Emmeline
Georgina
Hester
Celine
Marianne
Melissa

Ebb · 07/12/2012 12:34

I love:

Florence and Matilda
Florence and Beatrice
Florence and Georgia
Florence and Elizabeth
Florence and Isabelle
Florence and Helena

Resisting saying Ermentrude (and showing my age) I think any of the classic similar length names would work. Florence is actually avery pretty name, but coming from a house that only owned a VCR so as to record The Magic Roundabout leaves it's scars.

Eugenie springs to mind and Jenni is a cute NN.

I love Rosalind Rosamund and similar.

Harriet, Ottilie, Rebecca, Isabella, Beatrice, Charlotte, Elizabeth or Bryony spring to mind.

Thanks Mumsnet! I really like Margot & Rose. DD's suggestion was Rosie Hermione Grainger!!

I like your three names OP.

Florence was set to be DS2's name (if a girl!)

I also like
Mabel, Agnes, Edith, Constance, Cecily, Harriet.

LulaBear · 08/12/2012 01:56

I think Matilda is a beautiful name

zippey · 08/12/2012 02:28

Linda?

sashh · 08/12/2012 03:36

Paris, or another place name?

BellaOfTheBalls · 08/12/2012 04:26

There are sisters Florence and Hermione at DS2's nursery.

I am actually a Florence but telling you my sisters name would completely out me. Xmas Grin

zipzap · 08/12/2012 06:17

Harriet
Clementine
Hester
Coco
Rosamund

Or if you want to keepan Italianate place name theme - how about:
Venetia

There's also Sienna but I don't like that as much.

LittlePandaBear · 08/12/2012 08:36

I know of sisters Florence and Hadley, if you were after a completely different vibe!

Hulababy · 08/12/2012 08:38

I really like Martha and Matilda and think both sound nice with Florence.

I know a child called Florence and her sister is Ophelia.

toomuchchristmaspudding · 08/12/2012 08:38

How about Florence & Fleur? I guess they mean the same thing, but I think they sound nice together.

mummyloveslucy · 08/12/2012 21:26

Lavinia?

GinSoakedMu1berryLush · 08/12/2012 21:27

My great aunts were Florence, Mabel and Edith!

juule · 08/12/2012 21:29

Love Lavinia :)

GinSoakedMu1berryLush · 08/12/2012 21:30
