Any thoughts, have an Iona and an Alex(ander) - wondering if just too popular, although we only know one who is 5. How many do you know?

I love Lucy think its beautiful and classic. I'm in the east of the uk and only know one under 15.

Yama · 26/08/2012 20:46

Love it.

I must say, I love Iona and Alex too. A lot.

TapDancingPimp · 26/08/2012 20:47

Love it, but am biased Wink

emilysmi · 26/08/2012 21:07

Love it!

origamirose · 26/08/2012 21:11

Love it but biased by a lovely Lucy I know. It's a completely classic name and it won't date it sound odd when she's 40 like so many other names ending in -y -ie

raininginbaltimore · 26/08/2012 21:20

Love it. It was actually our top name for DD, but when she was born she didn't look like a Lucy!

Fireandashes · 26/08/2012 21:30

Lovely name and would go very well with your other DCs' names which are similarly classic and timeless.

Jakeyblueblue · 26/08/2012 21:31

Love it. Top of my list for any future dd's.

manicinsomniac · 26/08/2012 21:36

Love it.

I know a few of all ages but I'd call it classically popular, not overly trendy.

Plokahontas · 26/08/2012 21:40

Beautiful.
(But I'm biased)

exoticfruits · 26/08/2012 21:55

Lovely.

bronze · 26/08/2012 21:56

Lovely
Means light which is nice too

kaymondo · 26/08/2012 22:01

Classic, but I have to say I know quite a lot of young Lucy's so might be a few of them about, if that bothers you.

CanoeSlalom · 26/08/2012 22:38

Lovely name.

I hate the name, maybe because it was my ex's fiance's name? I think its very dull and plain?

At least 15 lucy's in my area. From 1 year old to 25.

xmasevebundle · 27/08/2012 02:50

*My ex boyfriends fiance

DeathMetalMum · 27/08/2012 07:44

Love it someone in my family has alredy used the name though :( . In total I only know 3 Lucy's. From 4-24.

kitsonkittykat · 27/08/2012 08:13

I also really dislike the name. It is about the only girl's name which I utterly detest.

janey68 · 27/08/2012 10:30

Lovely, classic name with a beautiful meaning

kitsonkittykat · 27/08/2012 10:44

I have to say I probably hate the name because all the Lucy's I have met have been entitled and throughly unpleasant.

Minty82 · 27/08/2012 10:56

Beautiful name - know a couple my age, as well as a 13 yr old and a baby. Works at any age, elegant but classless, pretty but not too girly, won't date...ideal really!

Minty82 · 27/08/2012 10:59

Oh, and a two year old!

Beans1977 · 27/08/2012 15:42

Hello - we are expecting a dd in a few weeks and this is top of our shortlist. I think it is simple and classic, and I really like that it means light. We've chosen Gabrielle (pronounced Gabriel) for her mm, after her 92 year old great grandma x

Beans1977 · 27/08/2012 15:43

Ps I know 3 lucys, all in their 30s who are all very lovely - although very different!
