I prefer Faith, but quite like Wren too.

ColourMeWithChaos · 16/08/2012 17:51

I like them both but prefer Faith

SuperB0F · 16/08/2012 17:51

Faith

fanjodisfunction · 16/08/2012 18:20

Prefer Wren

but they are both lovely names.

TheEnglishWomanInTheAttic · 16/08/2012 18:40

Hmmm will people wonder whether Wren is a "real" name? I did... I just thought of the very tiny rather dowdy little bird... Faith implies a religious family to me ...

LaurenLaverne · 16/08/2012 18:42

I love Wren! Good job I had a DS as me and DH would have argued over it.

BeaWheesht · 16/08/2012 18:43

Faith and its dd's middle name

Leftwingharpie · 16/08/2012 18:43

If Wren isn't well known as a name, she may find she often has to repeat herself and spell it. That's not to say it's not a nice name though, I rather like it. Faith is lovely too though.

BlueSuedeStiletto · 16/08/2012 18:44

Ah Wren, that's lovely!

WowOoo · 16/08/2012 18:45

I love the actual Wren bird. So, it has to be Wren. They are very special things.

birdofthenorth · 16/08/2012 18:45

Ooh, lovely names both! Wren is my favourite, unusual and elegant

noddyholder · 16/08/2012 18:46

Love Wren not keen on faith at all

worldcitizen · 16/08/2012 18:51

My daughter's middle name is Faith, but we also call her by that name with a nn-ish version of it.

We are an international family with lots of travel and living in various places and bi-national and inter-religious marriages in the past 3 generations.
So we also were looking specifically for an English name to match her other names etc.

We called her Faith as we had faith in our love, our union, faith for our child (she wasn't even conceived then), wanted her always to have faith, and we also have different religious backgrounds in our extended family, but we all share the same faith in the sense of we are all children of God and have faith in him, regardless of what we call him etc.

So, this is how she got her name Faith. And we love it. So does she!!!

EdithWeston · 16/08/2012 18:51

Faith.

Wren would still make me think of an arm the Royal Navy.

SirBoobAlot · 16/08/2012 19:30

Faith, between the two.

Wren a) makes me think of a branch of the RN, and b) isn't a particularly pretty or spectacular bird to be named after.

ekupeg · 16/08/2012 19:31

I love them both equally. I will vote Faith

clippityclop · 16/08/2012 19:35

Faith.

OlympickingMyNose · 16/08/2012 19:38

Love Wren I would of had it for a girls name but doesn't sound right with our surname. Beautiful name, and I only know one, so quite rare too

ninjasquirrel · 16/08/2012 19:39

Faith - I've never heard of Wren as a name and she would have to spend a lot of time explaining to people that it doesn't start with R.

nearlythereyet · 16/08/2012 19:40

Prefer Wren, because I don't like virtue names. And because it's lovely.

Wigeon · 16/08/2012 19:41

Wren - a small, very shy bird which is a rather boring dirty brown colour. Why would you call your child that?

Wigeon · 16/08/2012 19:43

Wigeons are much nicer looking birds!

Hello, I'm Wigeon Jones, your lawyer.

Good morning, my name's Wigeon Warren, how can I help you?

JollyHockeyStick · 16/08/2012 19:45

Wren was on our list for DC1, but he was a boy. Love it :)

messtins · 16/08/2012 19:46

Faith - Wren makes me think of the bird or the Navy neither of which are great associations to make.

crazygracieuk · 16/08/2012 19:51

I have never heard of Wren as a first name-didn't even know it was a girl's name. I would have guessed that it was a boy's name like Robin.

If I had heard the name I would have assumed Ren was a nickname.
