What were your grandmothers called?

I think I like old fashioned names - anyone care to share what their grandmothers/great-grandmothers were called.

Evelyn and Marjorie

My grandmothers were Doris and ivy. Great grandmothers were Rosetta, priscilla, elizabeth and another Rossetta. One generation further back and Priscillas mum was cinderella

Betty and when I changed my name I added Betty as a middle name and now that's all I get called at work! I love it!

Violet and Josephine, I love the oldies - my 3 boys are called Albert, Ernie and Sidney

I want to meet someone called Cinderella!

Elizabeth Louisa (known as Bessie) and May Dorothy.

Great grandma's were Sabina Elizabeth, Katie and Clara.

Mary and wait-for-it...Euphemia. Oh yes. Luckily known by a middle name or I would have got that one handed down. Phew.

Charlotte & Bridget; but Bridget didn't want to be Irish, & became known as Bertha instead

My husband had a Grandma Kitty - which is why we chose that for our little girl.

The great grandmas I know of were Ethel and Louisa.

One was Rose Ann Philomena. The other was simply May. She was left in the workhouse by her mother and named after the month she was born in.

Mafalda Christina, whose sisters were called Edie, May, Sadie and Rita. My other grandmother is 91 and is called Dorothy Mary.

DH's grandmothers were Dorothy Cynthia Monica and Joan.

My daughter is called Lena Emilia, I love old lady names!

Gladys Evelyn Rebecca was my Mum's side,. I could never use Gladys. It reminds me of Phoebe's awful picture in Friends But I used her middle names for DD.

Mabel was my Dad's side.

Great Grandmothers were: Filomena, Rosa, Elizabeth (Sissy) and Eleanor.
