What were your grandmothers called?

I think I like old fashioned names - anyone care to share what their grandmothers/great-grandmothers were called.

Margaret and Enid - I really like Enid - and if we had a DD would have like to have used it - but my DH veoted it

Well my Grandmothers were both called Mary which is DDs middle name.

Gt Grandmothers? Hmm.

Maternal gm - Hanna, but always called Hanka
Paternal gm -Grace - but she disowned my brother and I when my Dad died 7 years ago

I never knew either of them, but if I had a dd I would have called her Constance, such a beautiful and strong name.

My Grandma is Marion but was supposed to be Marianne & the registrar got it wrong! Her Aunt was called Laurie which I think is lovely.

My Great Grandma was Emma which is one of my DDs middle names.

DHs Grandma's are Anne & Kathleen.

Mine is Helen, and the one that has passed away was Melba. I don't like either, but I do like Helena and Mabel, which are close. :)

Great Grandmothers were: Irene (she died when I was in my late teens, have very clear memories of her), Ilmi (Finnish), Ethel, and Alfredia, but she was always called Addie Marie. :)

Some great aunts: Betty, Shirley, Wanda, Nina (pr NYE-na, not Nee-na), and Harriet.

Marguerite (Peggy) and Dorothy. My Great Grandma was called Violet.

My Mum's Mum is Maureen, my Dad's Mum is Marion. One of my daughter's middle names is Marion, after her Great Gran. Due to her other names, she does kind of sound like a Country and Western singer though.

Lily, but used her confirmation name, Josephine, or Josie. Elizabeth, but she always used her middle name, Nora.
