Hi all

Quick fire round Grin

Do you prefer Darcie or Darcy? I am not sure on Darcey but what the hell throw that in the mix too!

Thanks

For a girl or a boy?

Darcie looks more girly.

hufflypuff · 18/06/2012 22:21

Darcy. Definitely not Darcey

StepOutOfSpring · 18/06/2012 22:28

Darcie

MidWeekSlump · 18/06/2012 22:29

Darcy - I don't like made up spellings of names - sorry.

toobreathless · 18/06/2012 22:40

Darcy for me.

Badgerina · 18/06/2012 23:28

Darcey Bussell spells it with an e. I prefer it.

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 18/06/2012 23:36

Darcy. Less cutesy.

Heavensmells · 18/06/2012 23:40

Darcy

Staceisace · 18/06/2012 23:47

I prefer Darcy too. I 'changed' my name to end in an 'ie' when I was a teenager and thought it was cool but quickly changed it back!

Stellan · 19/06/2012 09:52

Darcy.

Darcie is too cutesy.

BambieO · 19/06/2012 09:52

3boysgirlontheway · 19/06/2012 10:10

D'arcy for me.Blush

BambieO · 19/06/2012 10:33

Darcie for a girl, Darcy for a boy.

Theres always D'Arcy, too - a la D'Arcy Wretzky from the band The Smashing Pumpkins.

BambieO · 19/06/2012 13:56

Lunarlyte does that really apply for girls/boys? If so then it is decided for me Smile

I realy wanted to call our DS Darcy but then my husband looked it up in a name book and it said - I quote:

"spawn of the devil".

that was the end of that.

BambieO · 19/06/2012 15:00

hahaha my DH would probably say that sounds about right for me! hahaha

BambieO I think D'Arcy may have originally been a boys name, but it has since transcended the Pink side. I love the name D'Arcy; I remember Wretzky used to sign her name with a huge swirl on the tail of the 'y', which looked very cool. D'Arcy is her real name - not a stage name or NN or anything (I believe it's D'Arcy Elizabeth - I was still am a huge Pumpkins fan!)

manicinsomniac · 19/06/2012 19:15

The only one I know is Darcey. I like it that way - more feminine than Darcy but less cutesy than Darcie.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 19/06/2012 19:18

My DD1 is Darcie Smile

Imisssleepingin · 19/06/2012 19:26

Everyone will spell it wrong and your ds will spend her life correcting people.
After having a boyfriend with a name that could be spelt a few ways I vowed I wouldn't do that to a child.
Sorry you didn't even ask that question, just my twopenneth.

BambieO · 19/06/2012 21:34

Haha thanks imisssleepingin I do know what you mean.

We have our hearts set on it (when we say we I mean me Grin ) so will probably stick with it but am worried for that very reason, I was hoping to find out the 'proper' spelling

Just out of curiosity what would you choose?

DD2 is friends with a little Darci (just to confuse even more!).
