It's a surname.

We have boy Tyler's and girl Tylahs, at school.

Defo a boys name

Is popular in our school although not keen on it personally. Definitely a boys name in my experience although is probably unisex in the US!

I think of it as a boy's name, though I don't think I've ever met one. Taylor is more of a girl's name IMO. Can't say I'm keen on either of them though.

Tyler is my SS's name so I am stuck calling it out in public, I am not keen on it really mainly because it was chosen by his stereotypical chav birthmum who abandoned him when he was 4 months old along with 4 other children throughout the years but I do think of it as a first name, not a surname.
