Heard a couple of these recently -

Harry / Henry
John / Jack
Isabella / Belle (seriously)

Really??!!!

Do people not realise one is a nickname for the other?!!!

I was friends with a Hannah at school who had a sister called Anna - thought it a bit odd at the time!

LittlePandaBear · 14/03/2012 11:01

I know of a Dilani and a Dylan...

redrubyshoes · 14/03/2012 11:02

I have met a Sam and Ella.

Honest!

BikeRunSki · 14/03/2012 11:05

I saw matching kids bikes parked next to each other in the bike racks in the forest centre we go to last week end. They both had those little name number plates on -"Samuel" and "Eleanor", hope Eleanor is not nn Ella like my niece.

i know of a Ben and Holly, which are both nice enough names btw! its just that the cartoon of course of ben elf and princess holly that makes me a bit Grin about their names, i am sure as they get older the cartoon will fade into oblivion tho as these things do :)

I can't see that it matters a jot. These are individual human beings who will be leading independent lives in a very short time.

CalicoCathy · 14/03/2012 11:47

Harry and Harriet

Twins Keeley and Kayley and Georgia and Georgina.

LucyManga · 14/03/2012 11:48

I know a Charlie and Lola, which always makes me chuckle.

startail · 14/03/2012 11:52

Harry/Henry, John/ Jack are four different names to me.

They are certainly used as such at our school.

Isabelle, Bella and really similar sounding twins like Harriet/Harry are clearly daft.

LieInsAreRarerThanTigers · 14/03/2012 11:54

Laurel and Hardy...no not really!

Did meet a Charlie and Lola on a campsite though.

DerbysKangaskhan · 14/03/2012 13:43

I know brothers named Jack and Daniel. From very nice family (and their other two sibling names are non-alcohol related), but it does raise eyebrows among everyone.

pinkgirlythoughts · 14/03/2012 14:04

I know of two boys named Jack Daniel (and several Daniel Jacks, although that doesn't raise eyebrows in quite the same way!)

sisters Adele and Michelle

Brothers John and Jack

Sisters Autumn and Summer

PercyFilth · 14/03/2012 14:40

What's "wrong" with Charlie and Lola?

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/03/2012 14:49

Nothing Percy. It makes me smile. They are fab. :)
