Enid Blyton names

Thinking of different generational names, I was trying to remember some from Enid Blyton books

Came up with:
Malory Towers - Darrell, Sally, Gwendoline Mary (Lacey), Don't care Bobby (who I assume was a Roberta)

St Claires - Pat and Isabel, Claudine

Famous Five - George (ina), Anne, Julian, Dick

I also remember a Clarissa and Carlotta ( who I think was from the circus) but of course there are loads more.

Any suggestions ... and are they due a revival?

Frederick Algernon Trott (ka Fatty). Well, some of that is currently in use!

In Mallory Towers there was also Mavis (was she the one who was good at music and maths?) and Mary-Lou, and Betty I think.

It was Frederick Algernon Trotteville! Swoon... I had such a crush on that character when I was eight!!! What a hero, with his disguises and his brilliant deductions and constant fooling of Mr. Goon!

Damn... now I wish I'd called one of my boys Frederick Algernon!!!

Larry,Pip and Dinah...were they The Castle of Adventure?

The Adventure Series - Jack, Philip, Dinah, and Lucy-Ann.

The 'R' series - Roger, Diana, Barney and um, Snubby. They also had a dog called Looney and their circus pal Barney had a monkey called Miranda.

FilterCoffee - I bloody loved Misteltoe Farm, hadn't thought of it in years. It was fancy town cousins v down to earth farm cousins if I remember correctly. Wonder if Melisande was the former or the latter

There was also a Yolande in one of the books but can't remember what series she belonged to. I think she was a bit of a sap. Enid Blyon gave the silly gels frilly names and the sensible gels names like Susan or Anne.

Oh and in one of my fave EB books The Boy Next Door there was Robin, Betty, Lucy and Kit the American boy who moves in 'next door' and is being held hostage by his evil tutor/housekeeper.

It's actually one of EB's better books with actual proper drama plus Betty and Kit are cool names no?

Naughty Amelia Jane is the one I always remember and Mr Pinkwhistle but I don't know what his christian name was .

I feel that a nostalgic trip to the garage to find my childhood books coming on!

'The Six Bad Boys' - her foray into 'serious' writing: Bob, Tom, Jeannie, Donald, Hilda, Eleanor, Fred, Len, Patrick and Jack I bloody love that book!

The 'Secret' Books: Nora, Jack, Peggy, Mike and Prince Paul!

Wasn't there a Connie in Magic Faraway Tree? And who were the Secret Seven? Can't recall for the life of me.

they've changed Fanny to Frannie in more recent editions! Crap or what?

There did seem to be a lot of fannies and Dicks in her books.

I didn't like Fatty. I had a crush on Pip.
