(Because I'm not wanting to be part of the trend of out-poshing one another with names. And don't care very much for the usual mn suggestions of Quentin or Clemancy etc)

Anyway...here goes

Noah
Jasper
Zachary
(all middle name William)
Sophia
Jasmine
Eliza
(all middle name Violet)

I know they are seen as common as muck names but I couldn't give too hoots we like the names but obviously need to narrow it down to one of each.

Eliza Violet (just perfect)

How about Alexander William?

None are 'chavvy' though Jasmine swinga close to the wire I think, but some are more popular than others, particularly Noah, Sophia and Jasmine. Zachary and Eliza would be my favourites by far - Eliza is just gorgeous!

I also think Jasmine is the nearest to being chavvy. Violet is gorgeous

I'm with you on the name front, I'd rather give my child a common proper name than some of the rediculous, pretentious names that MNers come out with.
I love Noah and Zachary, well more Zach than Zachary, I know a little boy called Zach who is the cutest little thing so that always helps sway your opinion on a name.

I also love Sofia and Jasmine and I wouldn't say that either of them are common at all, I only know of 1 Sofia and no Jasmines.
Not so keen on Eliza, it was actually my Greatgrandma's name who was very dear to me so I would love to like it as I'd like to name my own daughter after her.

Honestly though I wouldn't make a decision based on what MNers think, in fact I wouldn't listen to anyone's opinion other than DH's as a name has got to be one that YOU love.
