Perry... For a girl

We love the name Perry for a little girl, but why could it be short for as we're not sure about Perry on a birth certificate.

I love Persophone but the husband doesn't...

Perrie is a girls name in it's own right, I know a little Perrie and they are gorgeous!

I would assume Perry was a boy with a bezzer called Kevin. I really wouldn't fancy those associations for a girl.

There is a lovely name, Peronel (a variant of Petronella) which it would work well from. Perry is still totally overshadowed by Kevin and Perry to me, but if that realky doesn't bother you, it might be one to consider.

I know a (grown up) Peri and she is one of the most fabulous women I have ever met. Spelt like that it means wood-nymph or somesuch, though I believe she was actually named after Perry Como.

Perry, at least with that spelling, immediately makes me think of Kathy Burke going "awright Mrs Paterson."

Peri and Perri are a tad more feminine, make me think of periwinkles!
