I've been over this a 100 times and i can't figure it out. I also keep changing my mind which isn't helping Blush

We love DD's name as it's strong yet feminine whist being a bit different and not hugely popular. Not as easy second time around!!!

Grateful if you could help me pick a first and middle name. Smile too go with DD - Honor

Katherine aka Kit
Iona (IMO sounds too much like DD's name, mn?)
Charlotte (popular, but i do like it)
Davina
India
Claudia
Beatrice aka Bibi
Alice
Rose
Marina
Darcey (can't get past 'arse' in the middle)
Violet
Cosima
Serena

Smile

Claudia

Absolutely Claudia out of your list.

Many of the others are too plain to go with Honor and some I just don't like (Cosima).

scarlettlips · 16/10/2011 15:44

Chipping that's our problem...they all seem quite plain along side Honor. It's a real bugger Grin

Alice, Beatrice or Cosima.

picnicbasketcase · 16/10/2011 15:49

I like Claudia, Serena and Beatrice. Claudia goes best with Honor.

Really don't like Cosima, Darcey, Marina and India.

needabetternickname · 16/10/2011 15:50

So unsurprisingly, given my list, I do v much like Beatrice and Rose. I also love Alice - it's very classic but so pretty. I know a lovely Marina and I think that goes well with Honor, although I prob wouldn't pick it myself. Agree that Claudia is pretty. Otherwise agree with Chipping...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/10/2011 15:50

I like Catherine/Kitty but not Kit
Iona (IMO sounds too much like DD's name, mn?) - too similar to Honor and not a v nice name

Charlotte- popular, but i do like it - so do I!
Davina - horrible, horrible name - sorry but it is
India - not fond
Claudia - I like it but prefer Claudette
Beatrice aka Bibi - nice
Alice - great name
Rose - ok
Marina - not fond
Darcey - ok
Violet - love it
Cosima - hate this
Serena - hate this

How about Marianne (much nicer than Marina imho) or Vivienne (miles better than Davina).

DramaInPyjamas · 16/10/2011 15:51

Beatrice or Violet

Trills · 16/10/2011 15:52

Kit or Marina for me.

JiltedJohnsGhoulie · 16/10/2011 15:53

Katherine aka Kit - too popular to go with Honor
Iona (IMO sounds too much like DD's name, mn?) you are right to avoid.
Charlotte (popular, but i do like it) - popular yes, nice yes but not nice enough to go with honor
Davina - ok
India - had its day now I think
Claudia - love
Beatrice aka Bibi - love but too popular
Alice - see Katherine and Beatrice
Rose - see Alice, Katherine and Charlotte
Marina - not my favourite name
Darcey (can't get past 'arse' in the middle) - no.
Violet - love but not keen on Vi
Cosima - love
Serena - ok

scarlettlips · 16/10/2011 15:54

The list is too long, i know...with MN's help it will been shorted Blush Grin

ChippingInToThePumpkinLantern · 16/10/2011 15:57

Shorten it to Claudia - problem solved Grin

SESthebrave · 16/10/2011 16:01

Just my opinion but.....

Katherine aka Kit - I like Katharine but not Kit. I prefer Katie as a shortened version

Iona (IMO sounds too much like DD's name, mn?) - nice but does sound too much like your DD1

Charlotte (popular, but i do like it) - I like this too!

Davina - Everyone will think Davina McCall

India - nice and I think goes well with Honor

Claudia - same as for India

Beatrice aka Bibi - I like Beatrice but not Bibi. I prefer Bea

Alice - nice

Rose - ok

Marina - sorry don't like it

Darcey (can't get past 'arse' in the middle) - I like Darcey but now you've said that about "arse", you'll never forget it

Violet - ok

Cosima - sorry I don't like it

Serena - ok

I also like the suggestion of Marianne

scarlettlips · 16/10/2011 16:05

chipping LOL...!!

cakeismysaviour · 16/10/2011 16:05

If it were me, I would be shortening the list to Beatrice, Rose, Charlotte, Claudia and Violet. I have also listed them in order of preference, i.e Beatrice is my favourite.

Ihavewelliesbutitssunny · 16/10/2011 16:06

Genevieve
Raphaela

Jawbreaker · 16/10/2011 16:36

Katherine, Beatrice and Rose are my favourites. Alice is also nice.

ImpYCelyn · 16/10/2011 16:46

Claudia
Beatrice
Marina
Serena

Are all lovely. None of the others go well with Honor imo.

Psammead · 16/10/2011 18:30

I like Beatrice.

How about Ursula? I always think of it as a nice, strong, feminine name,

MrsJohnDeere · 16/10/2011 18:35

Claudia or Beatrice

Willabywallaby · 16/10/2011 18:36

Serena Catherine

BikeRunSki · 16/10/2011 18:38

I hate when people sugguest totally different other names on these threads, but what about Hope? I am afraid I don't really like any of your sugguestions. Maybe Alice (biased).

Honor and Hope.

Match, but different, unless you don't want the same initials.

Methe · 16/10/2011 18:39

Claudia!

happyhorse · 16/10/2011 18:55

Beatrice Serena

Kayzr · 16/10/2011 18:56

Violet and India are my favourite from your list.

LeoTheLateBloomer · 16/10/2011 19:01

Claudia Rose. The syllables (sp?) work well together.
