Just heard this on the radio, and remembered that when I was pg with DD1 DH wanted to put this on the list along with Anna-Molly (incubus song)

Do you think you could get away with Enola? Or does it bring up the song plus the atom bomb?

Oh please. Way to patronise and completely miss the point. I didn't say there were no negative connotations to the name. I'll stop posting when I please, just as you will. :)

Another one here who thinks that the Enola Gay association is just too strong.

greenzebra, you mentioned Anamoly up-thread; have you ever heard the name Amapola ? It's Spanish for Poppy, and I have also known 2 girls called with that name.

Nb I am not Spanish, so have no idea whether it is a rare or a 'usual' name!

Greenzebra - do you know of the website called Nymbler? You can put names you like in and it comes up with suggestions. Good luck!

How about Elenola?

Catsycat · 24/09/2011 22:33

Psammead I put in my DDs names (both normal "proper" names) and Nymbler suggested both "Bubba" and "Junior" might be appropriated names for DC3 if it is a boy!!! Not sure we can trust it 100% Grin

Not a good choice as it is Alone spelt backwards - that would put me off without taking in the other connotations.
