Mulling this one over. I like it as long as I don't think "Clarkson."

What short versions are there?

Thoughts?

Paxman.

There are too many angry celebrities called Jeremy.

tummytickler · 17/08/2011 12:31

Like it - Jem and Jerry are very cute nicknames.
Only problem with be the Kyle association.

DessertsInReverse · 17/08/2011 13:29

i think of the pearl jam song 'jeremy' which isn't a great association

SaffronCake · 17/08/2011 13:34

It's a shame because it sounds nice, but a Jeremy as a lot to live down on first impressions.

SaffronCake · 17/08/2011 13:34

HAS not as

LynetteScavo · 17/08/2011 13:37

I love the name Jeremy.

Sadly, there are a few TV presenters named Jeremy who have done the name not service.

I know a couple of very cute Jerrrys, and Jem is a nice nn.

tammytoby · 17/08/2011 13:38

I like Jeremy a lot. Classic and not overused. Jem would be a cute nickname.

jasper · 17/08/2011 13:39

Jezza

Personally I wouldn't if I were you

shrinkingnora · 17/08/2011 14:19

It's DS2's middle name (after my late uncle) and my brother's middle name and I love it. I wish I'd been brave enough to use it for the first name. Love th nickname Jem as well.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/08/2011 14:20

I quite like it and I really like Jem.

EverythingsNotRosie · 17/08/2011 14:24

I have a friend called Jeremy. Apparently there's a danger of the nickname Jiz as well as Jezza...

minipie · 17/08/2011 15:14

I like it, but don't like the Clarkson/Kyle associations and really don't like Jerry or Jez.

How about Justin? (been pondering this name in the last couple of days as being due a revival...)

InstantAtom · 17/08/2011 15:52

Jeremy has pampered Tory overtones.

I like Jerome and Jeremiah :)

said · 17/08/2011 15:55

Wet including all nicknames. Actually, no, Jerry is pretty good but Jem is bloody awful

said · 17/08/2011 15:56

And Jerry only works if you're American

InstantAtom · 17/08/2011 16:01

Jerry Springer?
