I met a little girl called Dilly a few years ago, and always thought it was sweet.

Delia? Or something else?

The Dilly I know is a man named Dylwen (sp?)

He hates his full name so is always Dilly or Dill

As he never uses it I don't know how to spell it

Lavender - as in Lavender's blue dilly dilly

I know an Adela who gets called Dilly for short.

Hedwig3 · 20/07/2011 13:43

Just call her Dilly.

It reminds me of a sweet lullaby my mum sings:

Lavender's blue, dilly dilly
Lavender's green
When you are king, dilly dilly
I shall be queen
