Agree that Rufus is a good one. What about Arthur, Oliver or Charlie?

Girls - Lily, Jessica, Sophia?

mistressploppy · 10/05/2011 13:09

I like David and Peter, but maybe they're too common?

Girls - Monica, Rebecca, Lorna?

spotty26 · 10/05/2011 13:10

I like, Rufus, Arthur, Oliver and Charlie. They definitely would work but these are all taken by middle names or very good mates. Jessica not so keen but Sophia was on the list for DS1. Good work so far mumsnetters.

Edward and Alfred could be too similar mind. I like Woody but DH not keen.

Sebastian is another one I like but DH not sure about.

Woody Shock as in erection?!

spotty26 · 10/05/2011 16:37

Ha ha for Woody being erection. Teddy is very cute but as we call Alfred Fred may be a bit rhymey?

Of the suggestions thus far I love the following:

Henry, Sebastian, Edward.

Arthur is eldest's middle name. Also, do we think it matters to have two H's or two A's??

See, I just realised I am presuming another boy!

Girl's names I love Harriet, Beatrice, Violet, Maggie, Rose.

I have really exposed myself on this thread so if you know me, don't crack on I am pg to the world outside the web. Literally only found out yesterday and told no-one except you lot! Very early on but the names thing makes it feel real.

Thanks for all the lovely suggestions.

Meant to ask what do people think of Constance (Connie)? My hubbie thinks it sounds rude.

OP posts:
daimbardiva · 11/05/2011 10:47

Rude? Lol!! Why? (I am probably being dense). I'm not keen on Constance, but do like Connie - but then again I am a firm believer in naming them what you will call them IYSWIM
