Beatrice or Beatrix

Would call her Bea whatever but I am drawn to Beatrix for some reason (though did just read Peter Rabbit to DC tonight).

Any thoughts?

Beatrix is much more interesting, Beatrice is a bit blah. And 'beer tricks' jokes? I can't imagine worrying about that it seems kind of far fetched. You can find some kind of joke for ANY name, I'd only worry about the really awful obvious ones

I prefer Beatrix, and I don't see a point in dissecting names into their potentially negative nicknames, unless they are glaringly obvious.

I've got Beatrix pegged for any future daughters, even though my DD has a name starting with B also.

My DD is called Beatrice..I love it! Sometimes wonder if we should have gone for Beatrix..I like it just as much and it's probably a little less common. But both beautiful. We call her Bea-Bea.

I like Bea Bea. That is what i would call her. Out of the blue my BF told me she hates the name!

I'd go for Beatrice.

Beatrix is the Queen of the Netherlands, so either way your DD will follow into very royal footsteps.

Beatrice may well still get called Trixie. I know one who is.
