Peter?

I like it. I think it's one of those names that hides in plain sight, so to speak. Everyone knows it, but I don't know many who are called it. I also don't mind the nn Pete, and there are a lot of names that put me off b/c of the nn possibilities (I like Christopher but not Chris, Thomas but not Tom, etc.)

The only thing that worries me is that here (don't know about there) it's a minor euphamism (sp?) for penis. So...

Anyway, not pregnant, so it's not an urgent question. I'm just getting my ducks in a row for next time! :)

I really like it!

The downside is that Horrid Henry's brother is Perfect Peter.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 06/03/2011 22:19

Excellent name.

Mumcentreplus · 06/03/2011 22:20

Peter..hmmm..bit boring or maybe just unoffensive..nothing wrong with it

ItsJustAName · 06/03/2011 22:24

Love it, seriously considered it for DS, only changed my mind cos a cousin is a Peter and wanted a more unique name.

Great choice.

Greythorne · 06/03/2011 22:24

PepsiPopcorn · 06/03/2011 22:59

I like it. It's a classic name and not overused ATM.

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 06/03/2011 23:01

Perfect Peter from Horrid Henry.

Or rabbits.

A bit bland and I'm not keen on 'Pete'.

I like Peter. Don't like Pete.

AnnVeronica · 06/03/2011 23:05

I like. The penis euphemism - is that an American thing? I've never come across it.

said · 06/03/2011 23:08

Not keen. Always think it's a cold sounding name. I also think it's a very straight kind of name - and then I remembered Pete Doherty

QueeferSutherland · 06/03/2011 23:09

I would think of the penis euphemism, I'm afraid.

I only know one school-age Peter. It is very uncommon these days, isn't it?

Hedwig3 · 07/03/2011 11:29

Love it but DH had bad associaltions so couldn't get him to agree Envy

Hedwig3 · 07/03/2011 11:30

Ooh I made up a new word Blush
