Rowan, Isaac or Noah?

This is the furthest I have got at making any kind of shortlist for ds3, who is due in a few weeks.

Can you let me know which you prefer - any feedback welcome! And my other two are Harry and Joseph, if that helps at all.

Thanks x

I'd go with Isaac or Noah

AllieW · 11/02/2011 18:16

I love them all, but think that Rowan is probably the least ubiquitous so would opt for that.

Pinner35 · 11/02/2011 18:17

Rowan......its a great name.

CharlieBoo · 11/02/2011 18:21

Noah is the new Jack where I live (bucks). They are everywhere. Isaac is ok but I prefer Zachary.

QuestionNumber · 11/02/2011 18:22

I like Isaac best from your list. It's a good, solid, traditional name.

Noah is OK, perfectly good name but a bit faddy ATM.

Not keen on Rowan, it's too unisex. Reminds me of older eccentrics such as Rowan Williams and Rowan Atkinson.

ilovesprouts · 11/02/2011 18:23

i love noah its my grandsons middle name

FranSanDisco · 11/02/2011 18:26

I like Noah and Isaac. I know a nutty girl (not in a good way) called Rowan so that clouds my judgement I'm afraid.

thebountymuncher · 11/02/2011 18:33

I love Isaac (as long as your surname is not Cox)
Love Noah too.

onimolap · 11/02/2011 18:35

Rowan is a unisex name - are you OK with that?

I prefer Isaac to Noah, and all three names are fine.

SleepySleeperson · 11/02/2011 18:36

Surname not Cox, but good point! So much to think about . . . Thanks for your views.

Only other contender is Arthur but we've already used it as a middle name and not sure I want to borrow it!

I am biased as I have a Noah, but I also liked Isaac when pregnant with DS. It was rejected by DH on the grounds of being 'too biblical' and he then suggested Noah Hmm

beepbeep · 11/02/2011 19:33

I have an Isaac, but also liked Rowan or Noah - didn't chose Noah as Chris Evans had his whilst I was pregnant so thought would get really popular, and DH didn't like Rowan.

WhensBedtime · 11/02/2011 19:34

Isaac!

Rhubarbgarden · 11/02/2011 19:43

Rowan. Dislike the other two, personally.

freyamalaya · 11/02/2011 20:31

Rowan - actually I like Roman which is similar- ish!

SoSweet · 11/02/2011 20:35

Rowan - Knitting patterns (what about Rohan)
Isaac - jewish (unless you ARE jewish)
Noah - cool - remember the dishy actor in ER?

kensworth · 11/02/2011 21:02

Noah is ds4's middle name named after Noah while in ER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and good for an endless supply of toy animals and arks . Love rowan too

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 11/02/2011 21:05

Rowan is lovely :)

BelligerentGhoul · 11/02/2011 21:10

All lovely but I like Rowan best. DD2 would have been it if she had been ds.

Phoenix · 11/02/2011 21:13

I have a Noah so love it. I also really like Isaac :)

Janoschi · 11/02/2011 21:15

Rowan!

Lovethesea · 11/02/2011 21:16

Noah - fantastic

Isaac - great

Rowan - stong dislike for some reason, maybe the unisex? Just doesn't seem to go with your other strong boys names, too 'flowery'?!

TransatlanticCityGirl · 11/02/2011 23:02

I like Noah most, although Isaac sounds lovely with your other boys names.

WetAugust · 11/02/2011 23:10

Rowan

the other2 are pretty yuk

GabySolis · 12/02/2011 18:54

I like Isaac the best, lovely strong traditional name.
