loads TBH but my DS3 is one.

GwennieF · 08/02/2011 19:37

DS is another... (aged 2)

ReadyFreddie · 08/02/2011 19:37

Millions. It is the most popular name out there in my opinion (if you add the Tom/Thomas/Tomas/Tommys together)

coff33pot · 08/02/2011 19:39

Highlandgirl · 08/02/2011 19:44

It is popular but it is a great name. Top of our list for a DS.

Pesha · 08/02/2011 20:52

Don't know any under the age of 5, or indeed any under the age of 20!

I think there tend to be regional trends. I also don't know any Jacks around here but one of my mindees started reception in September and I noticed there were 4 or 5 boys called Kai in her class of 30!

snowpeas · 08/02/2011 20:55

I know loads but then I live in Wales!

Agree with Pesha that trends tend to be regional, my DS is Jack but he is the only Jack in his class and there is only one other in the school.

snowpeas · 08/02/2011 20:58

Great name though and would be on our list if only we didn't have one in the family already Grin

smileychicken · 08/02/2011 21:31

I'm not sure where all the Oliver and Jacks are but we know 18 Thomas/Toms all under 6!

MissMarjoribanks · 08/02/2011 21:38

There are hundreds of the buggers. I have one. My friend has one. There are 3 at music class. There is another in the tots room at nursery. That's just those who immediately spring to mind - I've met many more in the last year, and they're all under 2.

But it's a brilliant name, and we love it. In fact, we love it so much, DS' 'diminutive' is in fact his name twice. Grin

cheapFlower · 08/02/2011 21:44

I know quite a few (2 and 3 year old) - seems to be really popular at the moment and this would really put me off (though the name itself is nice)

LynetteScavo · 08/02/2011 21:45

It's very, very popular.

TBH, I'm not sure why, but then my DS has a very popular name, which others aren't impressed with. Grin

carminaburana · 08/02/2011 21:47

Tom ds2 - lovely name.

SecondhandRose · 08/02/2011 21:50

Mine is 16.

SecondhandRose · 08/02/2011 21:56

Just choose the name you want. Dont worry about everyone else. Names come and go in and out of fashion. Tom has been in t he top 10 for years. Dd on the other hand will be 13 this year, she is olivia. When she started school there were 4 in her year, now she is in secondary school there is only her.

dollydimples · 08/02/2011 22:03

I'd say it's the most popular boys name where I live.

Hulababy · 08/02/2011 22:12

I don't thnk I know any under 5. However I know number of children over 5 with the name.

sonniebonnie · 08/02/2011 22:31

Very popular - 2 in ds's nursery group of 15.

freya2010 · 08/02/2011 22:56

Very very popular indeed...

anonymosity · 08/02/2011 23:33

Yes very popular in the UK suddenly in the last 5 yrs.

mamma2boyz · 09/02/2011 06:53

I have one who is 3, and gorgeous, he has no others in his class but we do know 3 other families with one!!!
