Maeve is lovely, Clodagh, Enya, Dermot and Cormac I really don't like at all!

I'm really not familiar with irish names but how about: Orla, Maura, Alana or Damon, Dillon for a boy? x

I prefer Meabh, not Enya, what about Aine?

Lorcan, Cillian are becoming quite popular at minute. Of course I think Jack is still the most popular boys name in Ireland at the minute Not Dermot - old mans name - sorry.

Cormac is nice, though it reminds me of the chocolate caramac, sorry.

Lovely names. Francis is gorgeous imo, and while not 'as Gaeilge' it's a name very popular in Ireland in days of yore. With the name on both sides of the family, I would put it on your list.

Caoimhe is Keeva or Queeva. I love all your names, LJG.

My Caoimhe is pronounced Keeva ( im N.Ireland and Queeva is south)

I have always loved the name Saoirse. My daughter was going to be Seamus had she been a boy - I love that name!

Please do not call a baby Dermot. That is just wrong. Diarmuid on the other hand would be gorgeous. Just fashions I know, but I can't help being influenced by them.

Sorry but Dermot is really terrible and Cormac is ok(ish). I think Irish boy's names are so, so hard (am having that problem myself right now!!).

We have an Oisín, which I adore but if your dh wants an easy to spell name he wont like it . We've decided on Iarlaith if this ones a boy (Ear - la) (little prince) but again, a little too Irish for you dh, I think.

Names we've considered: Darragh/ Daire/ Dara (think its gorgeous) and Tiernan. Connor is lovely but very, very, very popular.

Actually think Darragh goes lovely with Clodagh and Seamus.

I was pg between other 2 but had a mc at 14 weeks and Saoirse was the name I had picked so it would feel funny to use that again

We Have a Niall,I think its a lovely name,much like himself.People dont always know to say/spell it,but same can often be said of other irish names.

There is a Maeve and two Cormacs in my family. Love both. My favourite boys name is Oisin but Clodagh and Seamus were both my list when I was pregnant.

Oh yes and love Niall too but there are loads in Sunderland!

Cloe-dah (cloe rhymes with glow/slow/grow and the D is soft like a French D)
